| ![]() If I had suspected this to be a puppy mill, I would have refused to buy the dog, and then I would have reported him. A 6-7 pound dog is still a VERY small dog. There is no way to guarantee the size of a dog, but the chart here is pretty accurate. I have a small male, 4.4 lbs. and believe me, I wouldn't mind one bit if he was bigger. He's very healthy and very sturdy, but it's so hard when they're so tiny. Your little guy is a real cutie! Enjoy him, no matter what size he gets to be!

That IS funny!! You know Punkie I try to not ge involved in threads that pull at me emotionally bc it makes me sad and works me up emotionally. For some reason I got involved in this one. I think that is a sign! I think you need to have faith that your choice and your little guy is going to be exactly what you want in a dog! So give him his name! I truely feel that this little guy is going to be the best dog you could ever wish to have! And he is sooo beautiful. Like my Stuart (the one that died)! Here is a pic of my Dex. First pic hes on the right! The other one is my fletcher, they are brothers, same liter!

From talking to everyone on here, I'm starting to realize that even if I had gotten a really teeny puppy, there's no way to know how big he would be. I'm thinking now that I'd probably like to keep him. I kind of feel like I don't really trust anyone to give him a better home and I don't want him to end up in a bad situation. At least I can be sure I would not let anything bad happen to him. I'm still really bitter about my experience with the breeder and will report him for sure. He is a smart puppy and he's really gotten used to us. He's far from the shy puppy he was when we first got him. He's really confident and outgoing now and I can tell that he feels safe around us. He was also crying all the time when he first came here. We got no sleep for the first 5-6 nights. He freaked out every time we left him alone or put him in his crate or his play pen and we basically didn't have a quiet moment. Now he never cries or whines and he's fine when we put him in his play area with his puppy gate. I really don't want to go through that noise and ruckus again with a new puppy, LOL. Plus I worry about him having to get used to a new home and new people and being sad that we're not around since he knows us now. He's doing really great with pee pad training too. I just wish he would stop pulling and chewing on my hair, LOL. | |

| ![]() That's a really sweet thought. He definitely has been a joy to have around. Since he stopped screaming into the night that is, LOL. |
