From talking to everyone on here, I'm starting to realize that even if I had gotten a really teeny puppy, there's no way to know how big he would be. I'm thinking now that I'd probably like to keep him. I kind of feel like I don't really trust anyone to give him a better home and I don't want him to end up in a bad situation. At least I can be sure I would not let anything bad happen to him.
I'm still really bitter about my experience with the breeder and will report him for sure.
He is a smart puppy and he's really gotten used to us. He's far from the shy puppy he was when we first got him. He's really confident and outgoing now and I can tell that he feels safe around us.
He was also crying all the time when he first came here. We got no sleep for the first 5-6 nights. He freaked out every time we left him alone or put him in his crate or his play pen and we basically didn't have a quiet moment. Now he never cries or whines and he's fine when we put him in his play area with his puppy gate. I really don't want to go through that noise and ruckus again with a new puppy, LOL. Plus I worry about him having to get used to a new home and new people and being sad that we're not around since he knows us now.
He's doing really great with pee pad training too. I just wish he would stop pulling and chewing on my hair, LOL.
