| I have to agree with Chocolategracie and KathyinCall.....he looks like he has beagle in him. I have had a half dozen beagles and they all looked very close to him as a puppy...of course I love beagles, too, so I think he is just gorgeous! |

| It looks like he may be mixed with a chi to me, but like you said with the lady that PM'd you, his hair may need to grow in a bit more or something. The most important thing is that you love him, and once you get reassurance from the breeder, like it sounds like you have, trust your gut. Good Luck! He is a cute puppy for sure!! Here is my puppy the day before he turned 7 weeks and at 7.5 months. |

| in my opinion, no matter if it is a fullbred or mix, the breeder still looks as BACK YARD BREEDER to me. No one responsible breeder will breed poor quality yorkie (as you describe mother of the pup). If you like that pup, get it, just don't pay much. I strongly believe, that we all shouldn't support back yard breeders. Breeders must be responsible and only STANDARD good quality and healthy must be breed. Btw, no such a thing as short hair yorkie. read YORKIE STANDARD |

| Hmmmm if you love your puppy then that is all that matters! The pup could be purebred and just not meeting the standards of the yorkshire. Sorry, but the pup looks more like a mix to me. Breeders send off for the paperwork using the registrations numbers of the parents. I suppose that they could get those papers for anything and no one would ever know unless a DNA test was done.

| I think if the parents are both registered and she gave you the option to get a DNA test done she must be pretty confindent that he is purebred...he looks like a yorkie to me...maybe not up to breed standards but a yorkie none the less...I cant wait to watch Trigger grow...I say get your little boy..that is where you heart is!! | Ok, well I said before that I have friends who have purchased puppies from this woman in previous litters. I emailed 2 of my closer friends and got this pic emailed from one of them. Nicole has a boy with big ears like my guy. He is much older now and looks very normal but still doesn't have a very long coat, the pic is him at 9 weeks. |

| I think I read somewhere that big ears and a long snout tend to be dominate traits in a yorkie and once you have them in the lines, it is hard to breed them out. I think your puppy has genes in it's line for slower-growing hair, big ears, and a long nose. So many people are breeding yorkies that don't meet the standard that a lot of yorkies don't really look like what a yorkie is supposed to anymore. You say you like big ears and a long nose on a yorkie so I think you'll be happy with your puppy - based on his pictures I would expect him to have these traits as an adult along with hair that doesn't grow fast.

| What a sweet baby! He is soooooo cute, mixed or not. If I were to take a guess, just based on those pictures....I would have to say that he is mixed. However, it's so hard to really tell with those pictures. My first thought was a Min Pin. I had a neighbor that used to raise this breed and he reminds me a lot of them. I know that you pointed out that you don't think so because your puppy is small....the Min Pins are a small breed as well. Whatever your decision, he is an absolute doll and it sounds like you are already in love with him. ![]() Tammy |

| he's very cute! for the most part, he looks like a Yorkie to me. his nose looks a little longer than the yorkie pups i've seen, but he still looks pretty yorkie to me.

I'd say it will be very possible for your puppy to be as "fuzzy" as that one in three more weeks. So if it is, and you like the looks of her adult dog, chances are you will be pleased. The most important thing here is that you love the pup AND his appearance, just as he is. I mean, I know if you're paying for a full-bred, you want the assurance that that is what you're getting....BUT....you're also being realistic about future appearance will probably be, and not buying him hoping that he'll turn into something that he's not. So I think you'll be happy with him!
