I totally agree w/ YorkieRose... unethical breeders may show you one female and one male yorkie randomly, and tell the buyer they are the parents of a litter... At least, this is what I've seen over here where I live... Ask for references... PS: The furbaby in the pic is VERY CUTE... | |

| It's so hard to tell or to know if the Breeder is truly honest or if there is a mix in the parents past! I was looking at pics online of Chorkies and of Yorkshire Terrier puppies and DANG! it can be hard to tell even in those pictures! Here is my advice after looking at the pics and what others have to say, I say watch the pup grow for the next few weeks, then make your decision. He is so young right now it's really hard to say either way.

| I donīt think he looks like a Yorkie pup, the shape of the head is not right and the shape, size and position of the ears are not right. The markings in the color are not in the right places and the color is not normal for a Yorkie puppy. Here in Iceland almost all of the Yorkies are up to standard, and in the USA there are so many more Yorkies that maybe I havenīt seen enough Yorkie pups that are out of standard. So even if I donīt think he looks like a Yorkie he might very well be. Here is a picture of Mandla when she was the same age. I put the pic of the pup beside to compare. But he is a very cute puppy and it will be interesting to see how he will be like when he grows up if you decide to get him. |

| Don't want to hurt your feelings. What does his litter mates look like? I hate to say this, as I'm not an expert. But that puppy does looked mixed. Papers don't mean anything. Anyone who has a male and a female can send in their AKC numbers to register a litter. If you are paying more then a few hundred dollars, I would think twice before purchasing him. Either way he is a cutie, and it is still possible that he is a pruebred. But right now he doesn't look like one. Why don't you wait until he is 12 weeks old to make the decision to buy him or not.

They can't believe that he's a yorkie coz yes, his snout is longer and he is big and people always see the little ones and they kinda freak out I guess when they see a Yorkie out of the norm... But hey! What can you do right? LoL You should've kicked that person in the shin and ran (whoever told you to euthanize your baby!) LoL She's adorable!!!

| I thought this was interesting. The first photo is your baby from the photo you took with your cell phone. The next one is Gizmo's littermate. Granted, the quality of the photos is bad, but I see a similarity.

| He looks like a short haired Chihuahua and Yorkie mix to me as well. Unfortunately he could be a mix even if the papers say otherwise. She said that he may not get fuzzy until 12 weeks old? I've never seen a yorkie take that long. Sounds like she is trying to convince you of something that is not there. He also looks bigger than 21oz. but it can be hard to tell. The important thing is that you have bonded with him and have already fallen in love. You already suspected that he wasn't pure Yorkie and you loved him anyway so nothing has changed. Talk to the breeder and maybe she will lower the price. If not, then you need to make the decision about what is right for you.

| Do you love him? That's what really matters. Yeah, he isn't as furry as some I've seen, but he's adorable. Give him some time and you'll see his a diamond in the rough.

| My same thought. If I saw the last picture of him and didn't know their was a question I would have thought he was a beagle mix. WHATEVER the case he is absolutely adorable and such a sweet face I couldn't resist him.
