| That doesn't look like it could be a baby yorkie? I am really trying to find a way that he is really a fullbred yorkie.. can you tell? LOL. I want this dog, I love him, I have already bought him things ,and picked a name. Trigger. But, if he's not purebred my husband is going to make me try to get my $ back, and then not get him. [/QUOTE] The most important thing is not his apprerance , its the love you have for him. I am 1000% sure that you'll live a very happy life together . If you really want him then take him home . |

| yorkie or no? I understand how concerned you are. It is hard for me to tell, they all look so different at times. How do you feel about the breeder? Do they seem honest, and are they willing to talk to you? I know what you mean about your husband being upset if the puppy isn't full blooded because of the cost. The main thing to me is how you will feel if your puppy turns out to be mixed after he is a puppy no longer, but a grown dog. I read everything I could get my hands on about yorkies before I bought Sawyer. I wanted a yorkie, period. I love their personality, their look, everything about the breed excites me. Yes there are different looks, different personality traits; but they are all different versions of a Yorkie. If you are looking for a little fellow to love, this is one cute guy; but if you have your heart set on a purebreed yorkie, check him out until you feel secure. Too many darling puppies wind up being unwanted adult dogs, and tension between you and your husband, and disappointment in the look of you grown dog can definetly c ause your feelings to change. I think he is a beautiful puppy, but it is still early enough in the game for you to be sure he is what you not only love now, but in the future also. Good luck what ever you decide.

| The first pic you gave us the puppy's head is pointing down - no matter how short his muzzle is that position is going to make it look longer - heck I don't like pics of my nose when I'm looking down makes my nose look long! I think it would give a better idea if you had a head shot where the puppy was looking straight ahead not looking down; In the profile pic his muzzle doesn't look as long so it could be the angle of the picture. He sure is a cutie no matter what though! |

| I'm also very curious if this is a yorkie. In the two and a half years of looking at yorkies on here & on breeder sites I have never seen a yorkie quite like this one. Maybe a breeder can tell you if they have encountered a pup w/ this look...

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I SO don't want to hurt your feelings and am far from being an expert but while the puppy IS adorable - he does look mixed. Only for YOUR peace of mind am I posting - but if you fell in love - then go for it - if you're having doubts - there's lots of puppies out there. IF I were you - I'd look at this with an open mind - many 'not so good' breeders lie (about the parents etc).... But - with a good breeder - you shouldn't have doubts you just have to go with your heart on this one and Diego - that was horrible what someone said about that pretty girl. I can't believe anyone would say that about ANY puppy ! |

| I personally think he looks like a pure yorkie...just has shorter hair. He is very young. so he will change a LOT. but i think his face and everything looks like a lot of yorkies I have seen. (I looked for almost 6 years for a yorkie...I saw LOTS of different pedigrees and such ) like it was said in an earlier post, he may have coarser, slower growing hair. but I do think he is yorkie. I would not worry...I have people ask me if maggie is pure yorkie...and she IS. and she looks like one to me I think the fact that she is still a puppy and has her puppy coat throws people off...as it is still wavy on her back. but I don't care what they think I think your fine, sweetie....I am no expert but like I said, I have seen lots of yorkies with that same face.

| Excuse me, but if a breeder tries to sell a mix as purebred, it is already NOT right. I wouldn't trust AKC papers since AKC works with PMills/BYB. For instance, I know one yorkie who looks like spaniel, weights appx 14 pounds, but an owner have full registration papers and SURE that her dog IS STANDARD yorkie, and all other are teacup... Also, if the parents "perfectly fine", it may be a scam. It is possible when BYB shows the beautiful dogs as a parents just trying to sell a mix. My points is: Don't buy from this breeder. yes, this puppy IS cute, but many mixes in shelters have been waiting for homes. Please, don't support unethical breeders, who just try to make a buck. |

| Hello! He is a cutie pie. To me he does look very different from any other Yorkie puppy I have seen. However....maybe he is just that...just a special looking Yorkie not a mix. He is cute though |

| puppy He does look mixed to me..but if you paid a small price, he looks like a wonderful pet. Some breeders buy breeding stock and have no clue about quality..perhaps the breeder got some Yorkies that were mixed along the way...papers mean nothing I am afraid, they are only as honest as the breeders behind them. Diego..How rude to say that to you!!! Was it a YT member? Last edited by YorkieRose; 07-23-2007 at 07:02 AM. |

| I have to agree with the others. He does look like a mix. He looks like a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix. Do a search for "Chorkies" to see how some of them look. He looks a lot like the one I use to have.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | He is a cutie but to me I have looked at a lot of puppies and he dos not look like the typical Yorkie. He could change as he grows. If you are paying a good price and have doubts maybe you can ask the breeder to lower the price or refund some of your money if he in fact does not grow in to a full bred Yorkie. But if you love him then go for it. I personally want mine to look like a typical yorkie and the ears up, JMO
