| LOL... I can laugh about it now but at the time is wasnt quite so humourous. Especially since it was 5:00 in the morning and I had to get out of bed and give her a bath. |

| You know your husband loves Your Yorkie when he buys a life jacket for her so she can go on the boat, and HIS dog (a retriever) isn't allowed on the boat. You know you love your Yorkie when you make her salmon for dinner. I'm new to the site but love that we all do the same things with our Yorkies!! |

| You know you love your yorkie when you let them sniff the cork that comes out of your wine bottle! Emma LOVES the smell of red wine-she can hear a cork pop across the house, and comes running!

| You know you love your yorkie when you have hundreds of pictures of them and dont have any recent ones of your family. you know you love your yorkies when the brand new capeting that you would not allow anyone to walk on with their shoes is now covered in so many stains that you are going to have to rip it out and replace it with new floors. The expensive hand made stuffed animals that you have around your house are all blind and deaf because they no longer have eyes or ears or stuffing for that matter. You decide you didnt really like listening to that cd player, or using your headphones, or using your playstation paddles, watching that movie, using your cellphone, etc etc etc because they are all chewed up and they dont work anymore. you really love your yorkies when you have such bad allergies and are so miserable there are times when you would like to chop off your head but you still continue to let your dogs sleep with you anyway. |

| Reading these and realizing that we all are loved so much. I want to add: You know you love your Yorkie when: You call the vet to make sure the waiting room does not have a big, aggressive, or contagious sick animal in it before you get there. The vet gives you his home number so you can call him whenever!! You put out a birth announcement when the puppies are born. You have a 4 page application for those who express interest in adopting one of the babies You tell a family that has cash in hand, but not the love in their heart that they will not be adopting one of your babies.

| You know you love your yorkie when: You cry for an hour after you leave her for a couple days to go on a vacation and then worry about her the whole time you're gone You don't really trust anyone at all to take care of her for you You are willing to spend much more on an outfit for her than yourself and shop for her way more than you do for yourself You put so much more thought into what she's eating than you do for yourself You don't move when she's asleep beside/on you because you don't want to wake her no matter how bad you have to pee You sleep on the very edge of the bed because she's already claimed her spot in the center of the bed which doesn't leave you much room, but you don't want to move her You don't go some places because you can't take her with you

| You know you love your Yorkie when while visiting your one daughter in England and your other 21 year daughter (who loves my baby almost as much as I do, nobody could love her as much as I do) is tasked with looking after my fur-baby at home is threatened with a change in her living arangments (she is still living at home) if something should happen to my baby. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!!! Alet |

| Suzy's Avatar Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Des Moines, Iowa Posts: 481 Default I just love everyone's posts-these are all great examples, and so true! I have a few more to add: You know you love your yorkie when... You see them in your peripheral vision-even when they're not there! You check under your computer chair before moving it so that you don't accidentally step on them You carry your little ones up and down the stairs, and on and off the bed as much as possible, so they don't have to go up and down themselves, even though they are perfectly capable of getting there themselves You wait to throw the yogurt lid away because your yorkie just LOVES to lick the yogurt lid! You are late to work because you had to stay and chat about your yorkies with the groomer, the doggie daycare staff, your neighbor, etc. You have an audience while going to the bathroom, because your yorkies don't like to be shut out of the bathroom! You get up at least 1-2 times each night since exactly February 22nd, because your yorkie cries and needs to be tucked back into her bed My mom use to do that with our last baby (may she rest in peace). She would let her lick the yogurt lid when she was done. She knew when mom had it and didnt miss her chance i miss her sooooooooooo much. And i dont get no privacy in the bathroom anymore. they got to be right in there with you and if you close the door you just see these little paws and eyes lol so you just have to let them back in |

| Thank you Suzy for starting this thread This is a FANTASTIC thread. Thanks to the OP, Suzy, for starting it. I have some more. You know you love your Yorkie when: You are happy to drive 65 miles (with gas $3+ per gallon) to buy their food You yell at your skin kids for yelling at your furkids when they bark You tell your adult skin kids that the Yorkies are permanent and they are not (so deal with it) |

But, may I add that you know you love your Yorkies when you voluntarily plan a 15 hour (each way) road trip - when you hate road trips - so you can travel with the hubby to see your son, but you don't want to leave the babies behind. Then, you have more packed in the car for them than you do for you and you're making pit stops because it's time for the babies to eat and potty!!!!! And I agree completely with all the other posts. I buy organic food for them, but it's too expensive for us and I am in SOOOOOO in debt from buying them clothes and toys!!!!!!
