You know you love your Yorkie when:

You build them their own dog run, sheltered and with a special doggy door to access it. Then when construction is finished you decide that ..oh-oh.... maybe they're not safe going potty outside by themselves. So you put in another doggie door from the house to the garage...... and make Hubby leave his Porsche in the hot sun so the furbabies can pee/poo on their peepads in the space where the Porsche is supposed to be parked.

Erm..... in my defense, and the babies, there could be snakes in the dog run you know. I used to use the excuse of hawks, but can no longer do that since the cover was installed.

Okay, Okay, so they'll use it when the weather gets a little cooler and those snakes have slithered back from whence they came.Sheesh!..... surely my babies are more important than Boy's Toys!

You know you love your yorkie when the first thing you do in the morning is give them breakfast before you feed yourself or hubby.
You know you love your yorkie when you take a personal day off to be with him when he isn't feeling well.
You know you love your yorkie when you've been getting up every twice a night for the last 5 years (that counts for his brother Chikis) to let them pee.
You know you love your yorkie when you feel their little body sleeping next to you.

You know you love your yorkie when you look around your car and smile at the nose prints on the back window and have to tell your friends that you can't fit more than 1 person b/c the back seat is full of doggie car seats, blankets and toys (ya know, in case they get bored in the car).

This thread speaks for its self

when we sit for hours and talk and and share photos of our babys to each other, Id like to add, I have to sit in the middle of my kitchen floor and hand feed all 4 there kibble one by one

taking turns so they all get feed, now thats love and time consuming

i have to do that too .. my mom bought cody a stainless steel food and water bowl set. he will drink the water out of it but he refuses to eat out of it. so i put the food down on the floor and he will eat it. but sometimes i have to hand feed him.

You buy her a crib and place it next to your bed so she can see you if she wakes up but has her own space to stretch out and you don't worry about accidentally rolling over her in bed.

You know you love your yorkie when you wake up in the middle of the night to make sure she is covered by one of her blankies.

You know you love your yorkie when you bathe her you place the towels in the dryer so that she will have a warm towel when she gets out of her bath.

You know you love your yorkie when you spend more time on her hair than you do yours.

You know you love your yorkie when she is being picky about eating and you open 4 different types of dog food to find one she will eat.

You know you love your yorkie when your social life is non existent as you can't take her to the places your friends are going to.

You know you love your yorkie when she is the first thing you touch in the morning and the last thing you touch at night.

You know you love your yorkie when it is raining and you carry her to a spot in the grass to do her potty so she does not get her little feet wet walking to it.

You know you love your yorkie when she has more toys than you do and when she has more baby blankets that you have blankets for the beds in your house.

Yes I am a Yorkie Addict and I am not ashamed to admit it.

I love my little Bella.

When you are sound asleep and your husband taps you on your shoulder. You turn over to see what he wants and he is pointing at your pillow. About 4 inches from where your head was just lieing the pillow is covered in poop from where your dog was sitting after she had diarrhea and had it covered all over her butt.

You vaguely remember her hopping up on your chest to sit on you and give you kisses a little earlier.

You know you still love her when you let her sleep with you again the next night and take another chance of getting another surprise awakening.

Also, you know you love your yorkie when you have a closet full of shoes and you only have one pair of shoes to wear because all of them are chewed at least in one spot. You go and buy yourself that second pair so you wont be embarassed from wearing the same pair everyday and wear them once and come home the next day and those shoes are chewed up also. (I cant remember to shut my closet door).

When you use your expensive K-Pak, and spend a fortune on dog shampoos and conditioners for their hair and buy Fructis or Suave for yours.

When you cant afford to go to the doctor because you are paying the vet bills to keep them all healthy.

When you havent seen your kids or grandson since May because they dont have a fenced in yard and you cant bring all of your dogs with you.

When you dont spend any time with your husband or clean your house like you should be because you are sitting here on YT explaining how you know you love your dog so much

I just love everyone's posts-these are all great examples, and so true!

I have a few more to add:

You know you love your yorkie when...

You see them in your peripheral vision-even when they're not there!

You check under your computer chair before moving it so that you don't accidentally step on them

You carry your little ones up and down the stairs, and on and off the bed as much as possible, so they don't have to go up and down themselves, even though they are perfectly capable of getting there themselves

You wait to throw the yogurt lid away because your yorkie just LOVES to lick the yogurt lid!

You are late to work because you had to stay and chat about your yorkies with the groomer, the doggie daycare staff, your neighbor, etc.

You have an audience while going to the bathroom, because your yorkies don't like to be shut out of the bathroom!

You get up at least 1-2 times each night since exactly February 22nd, because your yorkie cries and needs to be tucked back into her bed

You know you love your yorkie when you cannot wait to get home to see him because he just puts that smile on your face after a long day/night of work.

You know you love your yorkie when you take the garbage out (ie: his dirty poop/pee pads) and take your yorkie along..just so he can have a 'mini adventure' and see the outdoors with you.

You know you love your yorkie when he can even get your boyfriend to say say (in a high pitched voice), "Aww..I love the little guy..he's so cute..I looove him" ...and then your yorkie bites your boyfriend's toe, and your boyfriend screams, and then... you and your boyfriend laugh together and just keep playing with your yorkie anyway.

(funniest moment ever in the 3 weeks i've had Luigi)

That's how I personally know I love my yorkie
