Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Surely as much kudos as has been given to Sylvan over the time I have been on...someone here has made a more lasting friendship with Stacey. I know a lot of members on here extend their friendships and do things outside of this forum. So to cut to the chase does anyone have any sort of relationship with her. I wish that aside from all of this stuff someone she considers a friend would contact her to just see if she and her family are well. That way any of that speculation can be put to rest. There is no excuse for the mess that is going on. I wish all the parties well and I hope there is some resolution. Personally Michiko, Timmy I appreciate you coming forward and posting here. I know a lot of people have stated that it should only be on the breeder review but honestly I would have to say purchasing my first yorkie I would check breeder review. After for a subsequent pup I wouldn't. After being on here for a time you hear all the kudos being given to particular breeders so you won't search deeper to see if there is any dissatisfaction so you will just automatically contact one of those breeders that you have heard given kudos time and time again. I am glad that they both posted their problems. As good of a forum as YT is I find that if someone doesn't care for what you are saying and there are a good bit of folks here that are very opinionated they jump all over you. It definitely does intimidate and stop people from posting.

| This is getting out of control. Alot say this shouldn't be posted on here but what about good experiences? When someone comes here and praises a breeder everyone I'm sure wants to know the name of this person...Right? So why when someone had a bad experience its not okay to say the name of the person or keep it private. I don't get it Michiko was very respectful in her post and Michiko is not asking anyone to judge her either. I know Stacey is a great person because when I picked up Lilly she received me with arms wide open and was very nice to me. I'm not bashing her because Lilly's condition is worse than I thought. Nor I asked Stacey for my money back....and I don't want it either. I also don't want to take LIlly back. The only thing I asked from Stacey for Lilly's medical records from her vet....and till today I have nothing. I can't beleive that this has turned out the way it has. This is so discusting and makes me feel like I shouldn't be a member here. |

If somthing seriousI were to happen to me, he'd not know who I'd been talking to about puppies...he'd not even think to come to YT to let anyone know. Good point! | |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Got news for you - Luxating Patella is hereditary - Dogs that start to have their Patella's Luxate with the first 8 months of life have it b/c it is in their genes. That means the dogs 'bone structure make up' will allow the patella to start to luxate at some point! Sure, can Patella Luxate due to injury? Yes they can also Luxate from injury, which happens to most BIG DOGS. Small dogs like Yorkies - Luxating Patella is Hereditary and MOST Ortho Specialist will tell you so as well as an ENOURMOUS amount of studies and research that is documented all over the place. Like I said - BREEDERS - get a FREE pass b/c (most) Dogs are not born with their patella's luxating ** Sorry I didn't mean to go off topic, it's just that remark about got me frustrated, yet again. The LP is hereditary according to the very well known NY ortho that did my Hobb's. Although things can happen due to a bad accident he said it was his experience in his many years of doing these surgerys that it was hereditary. When Hobb's was diagnosed I had only had him two weeks and he was only ten weeks when I had him. When it was all xrayed the ortho told me due to the severity and the way it looked on the xrays he would bet his license and bank account on it being hereditary in my dogs case.

It's a good poing but someone already stated they seen Stacy less then a month ago (refer to post #278) and she seemed fine to them. This has been going on for about 5 months with Michiko, so that rules out the heartattack or for that matter any other sickness with her. She is able to meet with someone to sell a puppy but she cannot e-mail or call someone who already bought one from her, hmmmm. Makes you think doesn't it???

| I haven't read this entire thread, but I would just like to say to Michiko that I hope everything works out between you and Stacy.

| I have been following with thread for a while and I can't believe Stacy has not contaced Michiko yet. It is getting waaaaay out of control you think she would at least come on or e-mail Michiko privatley and say SOMETHING, say anything, but something but yet she has not done that. Like others have said I know some of the people hear on YT have an outside relationship with her, so I'm sure they have contacted her or her family by now.

| Oh for heavens sakes, let me reword my post. Luxating patellas are a huge problem in most toy breeds but when pet owners let their dogs jump off beds couches etc,,, it can very possibbly go from a problem that will never in their lives cause them problems to a surgical issue. I know because I did it. I will not blame my breeder for it. I did my homework and knew it was a problem, but you tell my dogs they cant jump. I couldn't. This is more than likely why no contract I have ever seen will cover luxating patellas. The post was not about LP, I was throwing it in there to make a point. Had I known it would be brought up 5 times I would have been more careful with my wording. |

| Michiko had every right to post her grievance which was backed by 2 other people. It wasn't out of line, accusatory or anything. It was a great post in my opinion. She said what she had to say and that was that. It's everyone else who hasn't let this die and has kept it going and made it get out of hand. Stacy has every right to not post if she doesn't feel like it. She's being criticized for not posting by some and others are saying it has no business being on here. So which is it?

| I have watched this thread without adding my opinion until now. I do think reviews of breeders or of people selling products here are a valuable resource. However, I do not understand how or why a thread like this has been allowed to balloon to the point this one has? A review is suppose to be ONE person's opinion of a breeder or service. Some of the remarks during the course of this thread were beyond unnecessary. They were not helpful to the OP or to Sylvan or to any one else on this sight that sells anything in my opinion. I think that reviews should be handled by the admin on an individual basis. Once a review has been accepted it should be locked so it's there for reference but comments should not be allowed. If you want to give support or get further information on a subject then that's what PM's are for.
