I've just spent the last few hrs reading almost every posting I can to catch me up on what is happening. My heart is breaking, then racing and now I am praying so hard that all of this will be over safely and quickly and Zeke will be back home soon!!! OMG - I sure hope so!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Maureen. I wish I was closer so I could help in any way you need it!! Don't give up - never give up!! It's amazing what can be accomplished by those who keep a positive attitude. And especially if "those" are women with a purpose! Like Maxine says: "I am woman - fear me more!!"

I will be checking out this thread everytime I get on the puter tonite and tomorrow.

I understand all too well about the police.
Yes there are some very good cops out there but unfortunately in this case, she doesn't have time to find out which one that is.
My dad was a Narcotics Detective for 30 years.
If she has the papers for Zeke then that's all the proof she needs to get her baby back.

Maureen could not be prosecuted for just looking at an envelope. It is only a federal offence if she tampers with the mail.

I hope you're able to do something. It's not the best situation, even though it seems so close. Donna is SO right ... one miss-step and you're back at Square One.

But, I am channeling as much positive energy as I can muster that this IS in fact Zeke and that you can somehow get him home tonight.

hire a private investigator..if they still have him sooner or later he will be seen. they can't keep him hid all the time.

i just can't stop reading this thread!! Ireally hope this is Zeke and he comes home soon!! If you need anything i am here! I am still checking the myspace page daily and adding friends so keep the hope alive everyone!

It is absolutely all the proof she needs and he is microchipped however I am concerned as others are that they will move Zeke to another relative if it is not handled properly. I think if Kathy's brother in law agreed to call the PD in Modesto and explain the situation to one of the officers they would help as it is a brotherhood thing as you know having detective for a dad.

i think it's tampering if you get into their mailbox at all, but i could be mistaken. it's a risk i think. :confused:

i know .. im getting tired but i can't leave. i wanna stay and keep the positive thoughts going so zeke comes home ! i keep hitting refresh every few seconds

if you click on the "address" link, then type in the info, if the number is listed, then the next page shows not only the tel number, but the name of the person it belongs to.

I agree lauren but since these people stole her dog they just might lie and say she did tamper with their mail, that is my concern. I guess I am just getting paranoid as Maureen is so close and we are so far away and we are helpless. I did not mean to sound like a jerk. Sorry.

well, i did the reverse address, and there were no matches:( as much as it kills me, i have to go to sleep now because i signed up for an extra course at school and i have to wake up early tomorrow. i'll be checking this thread first thing in the morning. GOOD LUCK!

THe problem is that in order to prove that it even IS her dog, a dog has to be produced! If they move him somewhere else, that's not going to happen.

Maureen remember the law is on your side, which ever way you decide to play this out.
With or without officers assistance.
Zeke is considered personal property to you, so they broke the law the second they took him.
It doesn't matter where Zeke was.
If they were responsible ,good ,law abiding ,citizens, they would have taken Zeke to the nearest police station and told them they found a lost dog.
Its obvious Zeke isn't a stray dog....
He is a well kept purebred...which eliminates him being homeless.
I'm going to the store real quick to get a pack of cigarettes.
I pray within that time Zeke is in your arms.

Dear Lord.. Please help Ms. Maureen to bring our Yt family member Zeke home. We all have been missing him dearly and want to see him returned safely so he can get back to his happy life w/his mommy. and lord please see that these people pay for what they did., caused this family a lot of heartbreak and worries,

I am exhausted but i just can't pull away. ive been checking back every day to check on progress. when i read maureen saying she had news my butt was instantly superglued to the seat. I know if i go to bed i wont be able to sleep ill keep dreaming about updates and want to get back online.

The problem is, we do not know where the grandmother lives, and i don't think the man that answered the door would have had time to keep Zeke quiet, or maybe he did. We just don'tKnow. If we knew where Zeke is we could for sure just go to the door with the police. But we don't know for sure if he is at the childs home, or the grandmothers.

What to do?

If it doesn't work out watching the house, I think asking neighborhood children is a good idea. My boss had his dog stolen once and a kid from the neighborhood told him it was 2 streets over. My boss went to the house and the lady said "No dont have a dog." He called animal control and they came out. The dog was still wearing the same collar with his name engraved on the tag! What an ass! Anyway, it was a neighborhood kid who told! Come home safe Zeke!!!

I was able to reverse directory and locate neighbors, address with telephone numbers who live close to the address. Sent to Mommy. Has anyone been able to locate address? Believe it is Lane not avenue or drive.

Are you talking about the address on Amsterdam that Natalie sent me? I did the address search and came up with nothing.

yes, however, I was able to pull the neighborhood with address, name & telephone number which I sent to Mommy. Something is missing with the address and can't figure it out yet.

There is no answer at my BIL's...left a message, but I bet I don't hear from him until tomorrow. Maureen are you still here? I'm thinking WITH MORE GIFTS FOR ZEKE we could still hire the pet detective. All she'll have to do is wrap this up with authority!!! I'm in for another gift!!! Bring it on YT'ers unite!!!

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!! We have to know where Zeke is before we can do anything!!!!! If we mess up and alert them before we get Zeke it is all over, and Zeke could be lost forever. We can not afford a mistake of any kind, we have to dot our i's and x our t's, we have to know where the grandmother is while keeping a close watch, unnoitced at the son's house. This is also so time senestive. I feel we have enough to get a private detective from the police. He should do the stake out. Hopefully the grandmother will come for a visit with Zeke. Then Maureen would have to be their at the moment she is there with Zeke, how is that going to happen?
