I did have a sweet Kitty once leave for over 6 months and one day he just showed up.;)

just wantent to let everyone know that we now have Carla on our side none of the dogs that we asked about are Zeke but she is going to send the Flyer out and also keep ears and eyes open. They do scan all dogs when they come in and none have been Zeke. But she is gonna help us

My heart goes out to you and your family because I know what you are going through.

I live in the North Bay, so I will post a flyer in my vet's office as well as at the groomers.

Duke and I will be praying for Zeke's safe return.

Howdy all. Shadow, That is amazing...you check all those sites daily...wow!!!
Maybe, somebody could organize a list of places for each of us to check daily, that way, we won't all be doing the same thing.
I usually check for Yorkies for sale in California first...then just Yorkies for sale. Because I feel that is their motive...to sell him. That is exactly why I really think we need to post ads saying we want to BUY an adult male neutered Yorkie in California. Have we done this yet???

I think placing a wanted: young adult neutered male, would be great. The only problem I can see with this is if there is several people wanting to sell their young adult neutered male, how do you get him scanned to make sure you are getting Zeke back, you can't ask the people to have him scanned at the Vet before purchase, and depending where in Calif. who would be able to tell if it was Zeke other than Maureen? The only thing I can think of is asking them to email a picture, and go from there. I also know adds can get expensive and I don't know what Maureen has left in the gifts for Zeke acct.

But I do think it is a great idea, if Maureen has the funds for it.:thumbup: :thumbup:

My original thought was to post in the major newspapers in her area first. But not have Maureen do it, maybe a friend (possibly a YT'er that lives out there) would do it, then if any one responds obviously ask for a picture of the dog, or at least a description. Then that person AND Maureen go to see the dog, if it's not Zeke, just say he's not exactly what I was looking for, thanks, and leave. If it is Zeke...BINGO...we win...and the prize...is ZEKE. Either confront them, then and there or get the cops, and get Zeke back. I might not have all the details figured out, but if Zeke is out there and for sale, they very well may answer an ad like that. What about it? Do you think it's doable???

I've been gone the whole day and just wanted to catch up here. Lori, thank goodness for waterproof mascara.... I just cried my eyes out reading the beautiful words of the poem.
I think it is a truly good thing that you guys have enlisted the active help of the Yorkie National Rescue. I have a feeling they have access to many of the microchip databases.
Another excellent aid is all those multilingual flyers that have been posted in SO many places. All it takes is ONE person to recognize the face on them, and pick up the phone. At least now we also have the confidence that if he is spotted in the Spanish community, the lines of communication are wide open because of our latest wonderful volunteers.

It's strange, but always I carry with me the feeling that Zeke is not far from where he was snatched.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you tonight, I will be home and will check back in, in a little while. I will also be home most of tomorrow afternoon...(thank goodness, it's about time.)

I was in Petsmart in Bakersfield and Someone took the flier I posted. I also saw the one on the recycling center is gone.Jerks! Im going to put them back up today! I am also going to take them to some vet offices in the area.Keep posting fliers guys! Zeke needs us! Someone is going to come fwd for that reward!

Is that not the most frustrating thing ever!!!! I have big poster board size posters on every street corner in my neighborhood and also at the parks... I have to replace several every week and they each cost me $5.80. They have even taken the one from my yard 3 times... ARGG!!! It makes me so mad, I don't know why they can't just leave them alone. I should camp out then send them the bill :) :) :)

I do think it is a doable, I would do anything to get Zeke back, anything, a small add costs about 200.00 here for 2 weeks, I do not know what the rates are out there, but that is a lot of money to ask one person to come up with to post the ad. We would need to check with Maureen to see what the cost is and if she can afford to do it.

I would go camping in the front yard, and take that big German Shepard Girl to scare them off, and to give them a piece of their mind!

Maureen, I know how espensive it is to do adds, and make posters and flyers, here in black and white you can get 100 for 10.00 which is not too bad, and sometimes they have a special of ,05 would be 100 for 5.00, which I think we all could afford to post in the area's that are close to you.

I know you are out of funds, and we need to figure out how to get more gifts, or maybe an Auction, but what to Auction, I offered my Husband who does laundry, but he would start at such a high price no one could afford him, how many guys out their do laundry and iron for you!!!!! I have a good husband.

Wow, my thought is that if fliers are missing...maybe someone is taking them for a reason. Either to have to compare with a dog they "know"...or they want the fliers gone...so no one will see them, are they missing from around the same area?

Do you have a magazine in California that is called "The FLyer". We have one here and people advertise when they have pets they have found or are selling plus other things. This little newspaper magazine comes to our houses free of charge every Wednesday, just a thought. Also, do you have a local spanish newspaper.maybe we can put an ad there. I know that placing an ad in our spanish newspaper is less money than in the english one, don't ask me why! Just suggestions!!!!
