YT 500 Club Member | Mine really hates to go outside in the rain; it is more that she doesn't want to get her feet wet. But if I go out and walk her to where I want her to go (and I get wet too), I can get her to do her business in a big hurry. Usually she will potty outside, but often we find a surprise in the house on days when it is raining. She just doesn't want to stand out there and get into position long enough to get the "job" done?

| We watch the forecast a lot and if it even looks like rain we go outside before it starts. For those lingering rains we wait until it lets up if we can, but they hate to get their feet wet so they go quickly and near the house. If it's cooler out I throw a t-shirt on them that i can strip off when they come in so I don't have to dry them off. Loki is so good he will even wipe his feet. Sammy has to get dried off. It helps tremendously if I go outside with them. If not, they run out there, get to the end of the porch, see the rain and think *Ooohh I don't think so!" and try to come back. If I stand out there, they don't try to run back to me and they go out and pee quickly.

| We head out with their shampoo and conditioner and just have bath time (not really) BIG Umbrella works well for Seth and Sasha, and they make it quick, they do not like the rain. I don't get it because they love the pool and their bathtime

| Well I don't think I can even get mine out the door when it's raining. When I push the leash on him, he sits on the floor and try to hold himself back and would not budge. When I try to pick him up, he tries to run, like he really can go anywhere with the leash on him |

| That's what Maxwell does. He hates wet grass, but seems oblivious to the rain falling, so he'll go in the mulch under the bushes. |

| I dont have that problem, Bruizer will go potty outside rain snow or shine, but its the comeing back in we have a problem with, He finds every darn puddle he can whe hes out there and stomps through it and rolls in it. So we have a Bath EVERY time he comes in when its raining. But He loves the bath too. If I put him on a leash and take him out he will not go, he will play with the leash. So I think we might keep trying the leash and if he dont go it will be in to crate he goes........lol good luck with the rain coat and boots Youll have to post a pic.

| I live in the rainy state, and we have no choice, rain or shine we go outside. If they dont want to be outside, they get pretty quick with their potty, then head for cover of course i get soaked too, as they are on a retractable

| We sometimes have horrible weather here. You name it - blizzards and ice, heavy downpours, and high wind with thunderstorms and lots of lightning. So, I've always trained mine dually to use pads in the attached garage at night or in bad weather. It has worked out great. They always preferred to go outside when it's nice, but not at night or in bad weather.

| Autumn is trained for outside. When it is raining she still goes out. She does not seem to care very much. She usually comes to the door looking like a drowned rat! |

| Mine use the pee pads when it is raining, but I hope to have them 100% outside trained this summer. I am going to put a BIG beach umbrella off the patio and hopefully they will use it there, but it doesn't seem like I am going to have to use the umbrella since we have a only spinkles of rain in a month....send some of that rain to Kentucky....we are drying up here... |

| My dog is dual trained and I hope it stay this way. I always have a peepad ready for him. He prefers to go out but if I'm somewhere and he's got to go because his belly hurts or something he will use peepad. This way I have a peace of mind that I do not have to go crazy if I've got stuck in a traffic or something else happened. When it is pouring "forever" then he uses pad also. If it's not that bad we put on raincoat and go. |
