Following in the footsteps of her brothers Keegan and Finn, little Merry Piper has recently snacked her way into possible Teapot status.
Weighing in at 7.1 lbs at 15 months old, Piper is a force to be reckoned with in both the wild-Yorkie-romping and sneaky-Yorkie-snacking categories. She would very much like to be considered for membership as a new Teapot!

The Venerable Elders of the Teapot Club and Secret Society have entrusted me to awaken them from their age-induced slumber any time a special applicant shows up. I'm happy to report that Toby the Tyrant-Professional Sumo Yorkie led to their first premature awakening of the year.

Normally, the Teapot Club and Secret Society has a 1-year rule: If the dog is still in the 7-pound Teacup range, he or she is almost invariably expected to wait for admittance. After all, as soon as the baby fat drops off, you could be looking at a Teacup invading the prestigious Teapot Club.

In truth, the Elders were first wooed by his nickname. How could a Tyrant Professional Sumo Wrestler possibly be a Teacup? Clinching the deal was Toby's impressive listening ability when it comes to food. If he can hear a snack bag opening from a mile away ... well, let's just say he's not going to starve!

So welcome, Toby, to the Teapot Club and Secret Society. You are currently our youngest member, and we have high hopes for your future, uh, growth in our prestigious and secret organization.

Yay!!!!! i told him and he got so excited he did a little happy dance! Thank you! I might have to insert Teapot into his name between Sumo and Yorkie. Now thats a serious Title for a not so little little dog.

I'm pretty sure Sunni qualifies as a teapot! I didn't know there was a sweet little nickname for her unique physique, lol. She just turned 8 months old yesterday and is hovering around the 11 lb mark. She grew super fast as a puppy, lol. I would post weights and people kind of questioned if I had the weight right, lol. I did! She's got long legs and no fat at all..she's just a big sweet bundle of love. I actually ask her when I'm holding her..are you growing right this minute? lol. I dont know a thing about her parents, so each day is a new surprise with Little Miss Sunshine

Duncan would also like to enter an application into the impressive Teapot Club. At 7 months old, he weighed in at 10.1 lbs and still growing. He is a handsome boy who loves his kibble and snacks so i am guessing he will be gaining more weight although he is by no means fat. He is just a big boy, more to love. He loves to snuggle and enjoys giving hugs and kisses to his favorite people.

These last two applications have the Venerable Elders of the Teapot Club and Secret Society all atwitter! While they often don't accept teapots into the club until their first year of age, these two seem beyond the point of no return! They've got what it takes to successfully and comfortably stay above the 7 pound limit at a year.

But just as the Elders were about to sign off on the new memberships, one Rules Freak among the panel noted that the applications are not complete without a current picture attached. And, no, the avatars are too small to be considered.

So please feel free to reapply in 1 year, 7 months -- or on any day ending in Y.

We are so honored to be accepted into this very prestigious club! Unfortunately, Sunni woke with a bad case of bed head, so her photo session is scheduled for later today. The photographer (myself) assures me (again, talking to myself) that I will be able to manage the last requirement for membership. We will be submitting a current photo on a day that ends in "Y". I am so glad you are careful for the requirements of membership...I may submit before and after pictures with the remote I used for scale the day I got her..back when the remote was bigger then her...I will need time to find just the right photos to submit..and unfortunately, today I actually have to go into my office for a few hours

Even though Duncan was very excited when I told him that he was going to beaccepted into the exceptional Teapot Society, he wasn't very cooperative as usual when Iasked him to sit nicely so I could take a photo of him. He seems tothink that the photo I took last week should last me awhile. Since today seems to be a day ending in a "Y", I am submitting Duncan'sphoto from last week. If it isn't acceptable as it doesn't show hiscomplete body, I will talk to him later tonight when I get home from work andtell him if he really wants to be admitted to his very first club, he must sitnicely for a new photo.

This thread is so cute and funny! Teddy is too little to be teapot but he is definitely pee pot no matter how many baths he gets a week! Lucky for you all, I can't post his smells on here!

As requested per the requirements of membership to this esteemable group of teapots, here is a current picture of Sunni, taken today...Wedensda"Y", using her 30 lb brother Harry in the background as an example of how I dont raise no lightweights around these here parts!! Sunni is a sold 11.2 lbs now, haha..all those cute tiny little clothes I bought for her have now been inherited by her new sister...6 lb Nina.
