| I am so sorry Parker and you had to go through such a horrible ordeal. I wouldn't let her get away with the way she treated Parker, she should be band from ever working with animals again. Glad Parker bit her.

| Were there any witnesses that can help back you up? I would get their statements and get them notarized then attach them to your letters. Quote:

| Poor little Parker and poor you. I just read through this whole thread and am completely amazed at how that vet responded to Parker...and that she's still at it! It sounds like you're doing okay, checking out who to contact, etc. It's wonderful that your vet is behind you. I'm so glad Parker bit her! Can you call the quarantine people, explain how cruelly she treated your dog, and get an order of some kind to get his chip checked out at the vet? I'm sure he'll be fine, but I'm not sure they can prevent you from taking your dog to the vet if he was mistreated. I, coming from Brooklyn, also believe in having a witness. In other words, even if you didn't really have a witness, yes you did. They didn't photograph you so nobody can say for sure that your witness was standing somewhere in the crowd, watching and hearing everything that went on. Like I said, I'm from Brooklyn, and we do like to make things right! This vet needs to be taught not to treat anyone's animal that way. In the end though, as long as you and Parker are fine, that's all that matters - and I'm sure you both will be. Hugs to both of you! Judy |

Not everybody reacts the same way. Anyway, this thread is not about us andf how we would react. The truth is, you don't really know how you would react until you're in the situation. The most important thing we can do is to be supportive of each other. Judy | |

The truth is, you don't really know how you would react until you're in the situation. The most important thing we can do is to be supportive of each other.” Good post! I’m a little suspicious; do you think maybe she had the dog quarantined because your vet would not be able to see Parker until all evidence of the abuse had healed? It’s going to be her and her assistant’s word against yours. If you would have been able to see your vet right away she could have seen the welts. Many towns offer low-cost Microchip clinics with vets volunteering; it sounds like she did it as some sort of community service obligation! Definitely inform the clinic that this doctor doesn’t know how to handle scared animals and also inform the senior vet at the place she works. Just because this is low cost does not mean the animals should be treated poorly. Good luck to you and Parker. Nancy |

| I am so upset by what you both went threw and from a vet! She should be quarantined until her files can be looked through. Sounds like she dosen't like her job much or she is just a bitch to begin with. If she did it to Parker you can bet your bottom dollar he wasn't the only one who was terrorized by this witch. I hope you get results with your complaints. Your right, it was animal abuse |

| oh I'm so sorry that happened! how terrible! That wouldn't be me, I'd probablly have charges put on me because I would've screamed my lungs out, and if she didn't let go I just would've slapped her. I hope there's a way you can report this welts! my gosh You shouldn't have had to pay for that at all! |
