| Oh those poor little darlings! She bred a big male (5.8 lbs) to a small female (4.5 lbs)?? And on top of that, the male has dyplasia, glaucoma, canine hepatitis, and heartworms, hookworms and the female has heartworms? That just makes me so MAD MAD MAD!! Those poor little angels had such a rough life to start with. I'm so glad you found them (and your sister) and are going to take care of them and give them all the love they never received. And bless your hubby too -- he sounds like a gem. You really are an awesome person for being so loving and generous and for opening up your heart and home to these helpless little babies. God bless you and your family. PS - At least this disgusting "breeder" gave you a discount. After all, you and your sister and going to be spending A LOT of money to get these little ones healthy again. I'm glad you got a break on the price.

| That is a wonderful thing that you did. I hope all goes well!!!! I'm sure these little babies are so happy to be away from that lady....I wish people who mistreated their animals could realize that these are just like liitle humans. Then again people like that would probably mistreat their own skin kids. So when is your baby due??? |

| rescue What a terrible situation...I am happy to hear they are in a better place..even Yorkie Heaven would have been better!!!! Please be careful with worms...if one dog in a kennel has hooks or any type worms, it is a good bet all or most have them...so not allow the male to use the yard..once hooks get in the soil it can be a huge problem even for humans.. Good Luck |

Q: My neighbor adopted a Katrina dog, which is very nice. But the dog was heartworm positive. Should I worry about my own dog's health? -- L.C., Grand Rapids, MI A: Not as long as you give your dog a heartworm preventative. Heartworm isn't contagious from pet to pet. "If your dog is on a preventative, heartworm disease will not occur; it's as simple as that," says Dr. Jorge Guerrero, an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and chair of the American Heartworm Society Scientific Committee.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | You, your hubby and sister are hero's for giving these innocent Yorkies a new chance at life. The breeder should be chained out in her backyard and treated as poorly. How can people be so heartless? Stories like this make me so sad Hope everything goes good for you all.

| I Wouldnt I wouldnt and the only reason I say this is health issues. If they were bred that early, she was in it for money only and not the health of the dog. That is way to early to breed a dog. They are not even fully developed themselves. No medical records and not on any preventative, could have heart worms, ring worms any number of things going on inside them. I wouldnt unless the vet sees them first and guarantees they are ok. They do need to be rescued thats for sure, but you could have a lot more than $500 wrapped up in them before its all said and done if they arent healthy. Not to mention the heartache. If she wont cut you a deal that means she could care less about who gets them or what happens to them. She just wants money. Its a disgrace to the reputable breeders. How sad for them.
