| I am so sorry that you were treated like that. But I have to say to you for being so mature about the situation!! I, however, could not be that mature ina situation like that and I'm almost 30!! I wish I'd seen the post earlier! My doctor did the same thing to me one and only one time. I showed up for my appointment, which wasn't an easy task as I had to get a sitter for my kids, when I got there, they didn't have me listed as having an appointment. Receptionist said that I would have to reschedule. I said "Sure. But that will be a $25 cancellation fee." She looked at me like I was crazy!! I talked to my doc and told him, you guys don't hesitate to charge me a cancellation fee, if it's less than 24 hours before the appointment, because of your inconvenience. So I deserve that same consideration. He agreed. Not only did he see me that day, he gave me $25!!! Hopefully, there won't be a next time, but if there is, make sure to let them know that you have a cancellation fee, for your inconvenience!

| How funny - your "cancellation fee." I work for a cardiologist - and often things happen in our office that are unexpected -- causing our doctors to have to rush to the hospital - which makes them unable or late to see a scheduled patient. My doctor always pays his patients for their time. For example, if he is unable to see them - he pays them $20 an hour from the time they left home until they get back home. He says their time is as important to them as his is to him. And - some of these people come from out of town - he has often paid for them to stay in a motel and dinner so he can see them the next day. ----- But the real funny thing is that most of these checks never get cashed - and the cancelled checks never come back to our office. Some of the patients have told me that they could never accept money when the doctor had to run to an emergency -- and several have told me that they thought that what he did was so great that they have framed the checks and have them hanging in their house to prove to their friends what a great doctor they have. Otherwise, they say their friends wouldn't believe that they got paid for not being seen. Oh yes - we have had a few that laughingly say - Wow - he can not show up anytime he wants - this is the easiest money I ever made...... Whatever -- Life can be good at times - right! Carol Jean |

| Carol Jean, I want your cardiologist! Reese10, after what happened to me last Tuesday (the death of my darlin' Marlee) I can tell you that I would have let them have it but good. I would have not left there til I spoke with a vet before and after the surgery.. They are being irresponsible NOT having the vet give the info pre-op and then giving the post-op instructions. I betcha if your baby has a post-op problem, they will swear it is your fault because "the vet" told you everything to do. I hope your parents deal harshly with this practice and BTW,, find another vet who will NOT treat their daughter and their dog in this manner. I am so happy Reese is home and doing well!!!!!! |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | It's a shame that it happened to you. Good thing, though, your girl got her surgery and she's home with you now. Just hold your chin up...things will be better.
