| ![]() Our little Pammy just over 4 months old. She didn't get groomed until about 2 weeks ago. When we went to pick her up, the groomer said she was coated in fleas and it caused her hair to mat all over. They needed to pretty much shave her hair really short and they got rid of all the fleas. So when we brought her home, we stopped and got this flea powder that's supposed to kill fleas and flea eggs and sprinkled it all over our apartment and let it sit over night and vacuumed it up the next morning. Just a day or two later, she ended up with fleas again. ![]() I try to use a flea comb and pick them off, but that only does so much and they come back. She's noticeably itchy and uncomfortable at points throughout the day. I feel really bad. I'm at a loss right now. Help! |

| ![]() Vacuum carpets, floors, furniture, under ALL furniture, sofa, chairs, empty the vacuum into a plastic bag OUTSIDE of your home, knot the bag and throw it in the outside trash. ALWAYS empty the vacuum cleaner after each use, ALWAYS empty it into a plastic bag, knot and throw in outside trash. Fleas can LIVE in the vacuum, they will jump out when you empty it, reason you empty it out doors. Wash all your bedding and the puppies. Buy several flea collars, cut in half, wedge them between the cushions of your sofa and living room chairs, wedge them so as the puppy cannot pull them out. If the groomer got rid of the fleas and your pup has them again, it is because you have them in your home. Vacuum, Vacuum, Vacuum, make sure you empty the vac out doors.

| ![]() As suggested above, keep vacuuming. Wash bedding as often as possible. When you bathe your baby, be generous with the shampoo and let it sit for a minute or two before rinsing thoroughly. You can do this with a dog-formulated shampoo. The bathing will kill active fleas and wash away the eggs. I wouldn't use a flea collar on any dog, especially not a small Yorkie. All of the flea preventatives are concerning for such a small, young pup. I would check in with the vet again because a flea infestation can lead to anemia in a pup so small. Also, flea bites can cause skin problems. My Teddy is highly allergic and has a topical med to use when he is bitten.

| ![]() Indorex in the UK is only around £10. When we got our cat she was covered, no matter what we did nothing helped, I was constantly cleaning, hoovering then we found this. Follow the instructions, we had to do downstairs while we all stayed upstairs and vice versa. We also sprayed it into our Hoover's cylinder which is advised. It protects for up to 12 months. No I'm not a indorex sales person just it was a blessing for us. Good luck xx |

| ![]() I did a flea bomb for the house (we are gone all day) after doing the suggested above. No more fleas and a happy dog.

| ![]() I also recommend flea bombs or carpet sprays. I really hate using them, but when your pups are itchy you have to do something... I sprayed the carpets and vacuumed a lot before bringing the puppy home. If the puppy goes outside they will most likely bring fleas back with them, especially in the summer. So you have to really stay on top of it! Good luck ![]() |

| ![]() Powder her and your house with food grade Diatomaceous earth. You can buy this online or at Tractor Supply. It's the safest thing you can to control the flea for her at that weight. Also, bath her with Dawn to choke out the flea. If and when you do, you want to pick out the flea that hide close to her eyes and ears. Do not vacuum out the Diatomaceous earth until a week. It doesn't do any harm. It will take time to dry out the flea and kill him. I hope this helps. |

| ![]() All the above advice is right on. Ask your vet about Sentinel. It's for heart worms and has a flea preventative as well. Can be given to young pups and is available for pups that weigh 2 lbs. If you have a yard, you will need to spray it as well. Good luck. Fleas are miserable.
