| Scrappy had a growth in his mouth as well. Everything was fine. He was playing even. His usual routine was after dinner he'd go and "clean" his toys. Bf noticed one of his toys had blood on it. He looked in his mouth and he saw a growth. We went to his vet the next day and the vet thought it was an impacted tooth and took it out. Within 48 hrs he started having seizures. Seems like the growth was from some type of poison. Hoping Dolly didn't get into anything serious.

| Never heard of a poison doing that. Sounds like Dolly may need a specialist.

I commend this rescue for taking the dogs in, but feel like they need to step up the vet care on this dog. I had read that the dogs had been treated and had dentals at the original vet. If that's true, the problem in the mouth can be due to a post dental abscess. Either way a CT scan and intraoral X-rays are in order. Why can't the dog be masked down with ISO? Looking at her video she doesn't seem all that frail to me. I've had sicker under anesthesia. I hope they can get this together, the poor thing.

| I stand corrected -they finally did blood. It was confusing because it said that full blood was to be done then they said they were waiting for results. i just think they'd do better in a speciality hospital but I'm not sure of the availability in Oklahoma. I guess they're doing their best.

Not my place to look for it, but I am sure there are specialists available..if not, then perhaps reaching out to someone who has access to specialists might be in order. I don't know. Just my thoughts for the sake of the pup.

| For future updates, please view facebook. It is a public page that does not require you to have a facebook. https://www.facebook.com/oklahoma.re...klahoma.rescue Rest assured that the surrenders are receiving exceptional care. To suggest otherwise is uncalled for. Admin, please close this thread. Thank you for allowing it to be posted.
