Scrappy had a growth in his mouth as well. Everything was fine. He was playing even. His usual routine was after dinner he'd go and "clean" his toys. Bf noticed one of his toys had blood on it. He looked in his mouth and he saw a growth. We went to his vet the next day and the vet thought it was an impacted tooth and took it out. Within 48 hrs he started having seizures. Seems like the growth was from some type of poison. Hoping Dolly didn't get into anything serious.
