8 Yorkies Owner Surrendered 1 Attachment(s) An owner that a lot of you knew/know surrendered her 8 yorkies. Oklahoma Yorkie Rescue has taken 4 of them. Here is their post from facebook. Their facebook is a page so even if you do not have a facebook, you should be able to view it. At this time since they are still being vetted, we do not know the specifics to their medical conditions. ************ One week ago today, we were contacted by a Vet office in Tulsa that had 3 yorkies that had been owner surrendered. She found us because the biewer Yorkie's chip was registered to us. Jordy (formerly Talan) was returned to us. 5 more Yorkies were later in the week surrendered by the same owner. 3 of them have been turned over to us. The other 4 owner surrenders are being handled by the Vet's office. We have Jordy, Chelsea, Keagan and Dolly. Everyone needs a lot of vetting and in time, a good grooming. All are very lovable and settling in their foster homes. Be sure to keep an eye on our page to follow their story. Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/oklahoma.re...type=1&theater If you feel it in your heart to donate to the vetting for the 4 that they have, please click the link below. Every bit helps so if you can give $5, trust me, it adds up quickly. Donation link: Donate |
Many of us have been very concerned for these poor kiddos and they are in my thoughts, as is their owner who is a member here. Hoping for the best for all involved. I donated...thanks for posting this. |
What in the world is happening???????? |
Thanks for posting and glad the pups are in good hands. Will donate. |
Had to donate at first sight of those poor puppies. We don't always agree on everything but one thing I'm confident about is that WE ALL love these precious souls. Lets show YTers support! |
I did not know the member but that does not matter. I could not turn my back on those dogs. I sent a small donation. Hopefully them in end up in a happy forever home. |
thank you for allowing the post and to all that have donated. As OKYR posts more on these pups, I will post here in this thread so for those they do not like facebook do not have to check either. I do know that while they look rough and their health may not be the best, their spirits are high. This is very positive that their spirit is not broken! Thanks again to all :animal-pa |

Foster mom update I'm fostering the 2 boys. Oh what little sweethearts they are! They will both be at the vet this week, probably tomorrow. Talan aka Jordy seems pretty healthy & was vetted prior to him coming back to us. He just needs to grow his hair back. Keagen I think will most likely need LP surgery in both legs. He has a funny walk & according to old vet records, him seeing a surgeon was suggested. He is so, so sweet. A little skittish of people but coming around. They are both such quiet little boys. A pleasure to foster them both. :) :heart to |

It is wonderful to know that there exists an enormous group of caring like minded people that adore and care for these pups and will see to it they are taken from an unfortunate situation and rehabilitated. I hope this poor broken soul is able to get the help SHE needs, as well....apparently she was very active in the Yorkie community....something happened and the wheels came off her wagon.....I pray SHE is getting the help she needs. |
1 Attachment(s) Update from OKYR facebook>> >>>Jasper (on right) is available for adoption<<<< **Dolly is not available for adoption** Dolly weighs 2 1/2 . Her appetite is almost non-existent. FosterMom has to hand feed her or she won't eat. Dolly has been offered a variety of foods, including chicken, turkey, hard boiled egg, Cheerios, vienna sausage, sweet potato, yogurt, cottage cheese, canned dog food. FreshPet, and 2 dry foods of very small kibble. The most she has eaten at one feeding was 3 tablespoons. As a result, FosterMom is hand feeding her every 2-3 hours. She's reliably house trained and uses dog door. She likes sunning on the patio, but also uses dog steps to get on/off couch for naps. She cuddles close at night in bed with FosterMom but does not want to be held. Our vet wants her to gain some much needed weight before vaccinations or blood work. She has severe luxating patella, no teeth, bone loss in her lower jaw and a soft spot on a her head like a puppy. |
Oh my the pictures of Dolly break my heart Heading off to donate |
I will pray for them all...previous owner and pups. Sometimes life can take unexpected turns. I'm glad the pups are being cared for and as Yorkiemom1 said, I hope that she is getting help as well. |
Oh man, what happened? Did something happen to the owner that is why she surrendered them? I hope they all get the vetting and homes they need. |
