| I have lots of vinegar! I juse it a lot in the laundry -w hy didn't I think of that. Lots of good ideas here surely I can find one I can breathe with and it won't hurt the pups. I try keeping the pups up until it's dry, but with the humidity in South Texas even with the a/c on and a fan going sometimes it's 30 minutes til it's dry. I've started doing the major mopping after I get them kenneled up at night and that has helped. I really appreciate all the advice. Thank you all

| I have ceramic tile floors and what I use is called tough & tender. It's an organic cleaner. It's only available on-line. It has tea tree oil in it. Here is the website if anyone is interested. Another good one from the same place is called Soul-mel. I'm out of it at the time and have not restocked. www.melaleuca.com

| Vinegar!!! After reading all the posts & varying opinions .... everyone just has to use their own best judgement. I have to say that I personally find vinegar the most nausiating thing I have ever smelled in my life .... BUT ..... after a vet visit last Friday I will just gag, hold my nose and use it anyway!! Toto has a very bad yeast infection in her little ear ... vet instructions were: clean ears thoroughly with a mixture of 1/3 vinegar, 2/3 water ... then the medication. Soooooo .... it's gotta be safe for Toto! She stinks to high heaven but if it helps her little ears, I can certainly stand to smell it!

| baking soda Don't forget about the all-time favorite, Baking Soda! It is cheap and removes carpet odor. It also feels soft and cool to the feet. I usually keep it in the fridge and refrigerator to keep them fresh. When I want to deoderize carpet, I change the refrigerator baking soda and use the old one to spread throughout the carpet. Leave it on the carpet for about 30 minutes and vacuum away. It will cause you to need a new bag as it is heavy in your vacuum.

| vinegar Here's what i'm going to do, (major cleaning in my house this weekend, were scrubbing down walls and carpets) i'm going to use the regular shampoo first on my carpet and then go over it again with vinegar and water, then every once in a while i'll try sprinkling baking soda on the carpet let it sit for an hour and vacuum. thanks everyone on YT.. i'm going to give it a shot, nothing else is working for me and it is getting very costly... |

| You want to make sure your carpet is dry when putting on baking soda! It won't hurt your carpet but will leave the white on there. If that happens, wait until dry and vacuum again.
