I agree that all of those things are true, but I'm just of the mindset that stores are for people, not dogs. Or cats. Or goats. Or pigs. That's just my opinion on it, I'm aware a lot of people feel differently. (Unless it's a pet-specific store or establishment)

Actually that is not true. I have to take them to vet appointments and sometimes it is an emergency and I may have to stop on the way home for something they need.

My dog isn't injured, but her stroller is great for keeping her safe. She's way too small to safely walk in a crowded area and it gets too hot and heavy to carry her for long periods.
I also use it during parties so she can be in the action without getting hurt or running out the door. She chose to get in the stroller instead of sitting on my lap.

She loves her stroller and begs to get in it.

I don't care if people think it's silly. It keeps my dog safe and makes my life easier. If my stroller broke I'd immediately order another.

Every time I take Lola out in her stroller at least one person asks where I got it and says it would be great for their pet for various reasons.

That's great! I'm not advocating that you make choices for your life based upon what other people think.

I'm pretty dog friendly, I think. Maybe not the way that you are, but I own two dogs and everyone in my family has dogs as well. So in my life there are 4 labs, 2 german shepherds, and 4 yorkies. Just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean I don't like dogs, or anything of the sort.

As for the comment about crate rest having to be in a crate...that is patently untrue. I have had plenty of dogs recover in crates, strollers and/or xpens. I work with the needs of the pup...many of them really don't handle crates well. My Cookie spent 8 weeks in a stroller after CCL repair and she was fine after that...she would have gone nuts in a crate.

Even Dodger's List approves of other options...and that is after back surgery!

I have never advocated for you or anyone else to care what I think or to alter your choices to bend to my line of thinking! You have your ways, I have mine, it's all good! I don't know why things are getting so personal!

You laughed at my opinion that's not very nice and you are talking about things your just well educated in. I have a very social dog staying in a crate for 8 weeks for her first surgery was a killer on her she was so depressed and lost over 5 pounds so for this recent 11 week one I had to do something different it really might have killed her!

I did not laugh at your opinion. You asked what about strollers, and I said that I thought dogs in strollers and purses was hilarious and not in a good way. At that point in time I did not know your opinion on strollers and purses. So, how could I be laughing at YOUR OPINION when I did not KNOW YOUR OPINION?

I'm sorry, but I don't think any of my responses have been nasty. Funsies is a word that I use in every day life, it wasn't mean to be rude. Saying that it was hilarious and not in a good way was simply another way of saying I found it ridiculous. I don't think any way that I worded it would have been taken any better, especially since I have been accused of being offensive and rude among other things when I have not said a single thing personal against anyone here.

Furthermore, an uproar? Perhaps you should respond to the multiple people that jumped me, because IMO that's where your uproar is.

I did feel it was personal. I do feel your uneducated in the use of them and how it can be for the well being of the dog. It's like saying my uncle with no legs should stay home because he has to be pushed around. In a sense it's like a wheel chair for dogs on crate rest or older dogs or dogs with issues and your only seeing it as a stupid joke thing but it can be so much more then that.
