2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I suggested this in a previous post and was wondering if you had contacted any of the shelters, humane society, dog warden, etc. in your area to see if anyone has reported a missing Yorkie ?

| You're doing great. Thanks for what you are doing for this darling boy. We once had someone take our Yorkie from my parent's driveway (he got out and that's another story) I searched for three days on foot, posted signs on every single light post within a 5 mile radius, went to every vet within a 20 mile radius, was a basket case and walking zombie. We posted a $500 dollar reward, and the first night was Halloween night so we told every trick or treater that we would pay $500 if they found him. I search ditches for days in terror. This was over 12 years ago. Nothing. A few days later, a lady called and said I have your Yorkie - are you still offering the reward? I was joyous. She came and brought my baby to me - he had a hair cut... I didn't care. I paid her the money so glad to have my boy back. An hour later a neighbor FOUR houses down the street from my parents - came by to make sure the lady (his neighbor) had returned Max. Apparently she had grabbed him. Hidden him and gave him a haircut. But the neighbor confronted her and said - that's the lost dog with the 100 signs up - you return it or we will turn you in. Anyway long story and not that this is similar - only told it so you would know we just never know how the dog got where he was - the one thing we know is you are a good person and he knew it and that's why he picked you to help him. YOU are doing the right thing and that's by taking the steps you can, and really that's all you can do - so I thank you so much. Quote:

| @redwolf41.... thank goodness you aren't giving up on finding the owner, and that you can understand how the owner may be devastated at this time. There can be all kinds of reasons why the owner does not seem to be aggressively looking for this pup, and it is important to acknowledge that possibly they just don't know how or can't. I've heard stories of people being in car accidents, or becoming ill/hospitalized, or leaving their pups in other's care while on vacation.... and the pups get loose and owner's can't search. Thank you for being patient and continuing to look, while also giving this guy comfort and safety. We can all learn a big lesson from this, and make it easier for our pups to be returned IF they ever get away. Microchipping is a must, a collar with ID is also helpful, and a plan of action for how and where to search including a quickly printed poster with photo, are all important.

| I just want to thank you for keeping this baby safe and taking such great care of him. Many people wouldn't even consider taking a lost pup to the vet to check for a microchip and to make sure he's healthy.

| Paje20 I found him in Lampasas. If you can identify the collar he had on I will be able to tell you if it was him, also if you tell me his name, I can see if this little guy responds to it. |

| That dog was found aug 28th according to the comments. All 3 missing dogs in that area were found and accounted for.
