Found a little guy today!

Redwolf, you are truly a blessing to that little guy, and I just want you to know that you're doing everything correctly, in love, and I will pray that you find his owners, if, in fact, they are actually looking for him. If not, he couldn't have found a better "rescue" than you. God bless you!

I may have missed it in all the pages but did you put ads in the papers in your area and the surrounding areas? Most papers and radio stations have free lost and found ads. At least you will know you did all you could do. Just don't put the breed in or a good description. Just say you found a small dog. It is up to the caller to give a good description and proof of ownership.

The little guy is doing good. I thought I had a lead on the owners, but they couldn't identify him in any way, such as what breed, color, size, or anything else. I was very upset because they got mad and said it is their dog and that I had to give it to them! I told them that if they couldn't even tell me what breed it was or anything specific , such as whether it was a male or female, which they couldn't! I told them they cant have it. Im sorry but if you own a dog you should at least be able to tell me if it is a boy or girl and at least what breed! I have put ads in local papers and a couple in other cities near by....no responses though

That's too bad, unfortunately because of the ads you places this probably will not be the last call you get where someone will be upset or demanding but it was the right thing to do. I really hope he gets back to his family.

Eventually, you will reach a point where you have to put your personal safety above finding this dog's owner (if there is an owner who cares and is looking for him). It sounds to me like you have done all of the right things. If there is an owner who misses the dog, they will contact you. Be safe.

I am very sorry to hear your boy is missing. Hoping you do find him. Can you post pictures? Whether this is your boy or not, pictures may help someone else who is reading help you find Goku.

If the OP is concerned about her own saftey, she could post pictures at her local humane society and the rescues in her area that she has found this pup. That way the owner could go through them too her.

I agree with the safety issue, that is why they were not at my home. I met them in public away from the house without the dog...Besides anybody wants to try to come in my house I have a 12 ga. that will give them a rear full of buckshot very quickly..... Paje20 I did try calling him cocoa bean and guko and got no response from him ,but my dogs responded. lol. How old is your little man? And if you can post up a few pics.....

To the OP could you tell me what papers you put ads in? I tried to find them so I could post one on my fb but there were not any in your area. Or maybe post a link to the paper? Thanks.
