Found a little guy today! This afternoon when I was headed up to my daughters bus stop to meet her I had a little yorkie follow me to her stop and I tried to ignore it because I have 3 furbutts already, but he kept jumping on me and crying. I felt so bad cause it was hot out and he was filthy and full of fleas and very skinny and his hair was awful.....so I kept him out of the road and when my daughter got off the stop she told me he has been wandering that area for several days. He followed us a ways and I ended up bringing him with us ....he is a sweet little guy...gave him a flea bath and cut some of the burrs and mats out of his hair....I went back with a pic of him in the area we found him and asked ppl if he was theirs or knew who he belonged to with no luck...will take him to vet in morning to get him scanned for a chip......he and my dogs seem to be getting along pretty good ...will post a pic of him tomorrow......my daughter wants to keep him for her, but told her that if we find his owners that he has to go back to them.....but he was awful looking and he stunk so bad...poor boy... |
Good luck! Can't wait for the update! |
Poor little guy. I'm so glad you took him home with you. At least he will sleep with a full belly and be comfy tonight. I am curious to see the outcome of the vet visit also. Good luck!! :) |
Awe...you are his guardian angel. I'm sure he is feeling the love. I would be concerned if his owner claims him because apparently he was not well taken care of. Poor baby. Would love to see a picture :-) |
Poor baby! So glad you took him in. Little guy sure knew who to follow!! Good for him! Looking forward to updates. |
Awe, poor little guy....thank you for taking him in...cant wait for pictures! |

dog That little fella seems abused. I would not look up the owner or he will go back to being a street dog. How sad. I would keep him and love him and give him a great home. If this owner cared one bit he would post posters all over. I would have signs all over my town if I lost my Yorkies. Do this dog a favor and forget the owner and love him. Or give him to a Yorkie lover who will care for him. I feel so bad he was in such awful condition. Bless you for all you did for this precious dog. He will be a wonderful friend and companion. What is one more loving sweet little cute dog? Wish I could have him but I am in California and have 2 little lover Yorkies already. |
So glad that you are taking care of him. I even hope that he gets to stay with you. Sounds like he has a better deal at your house than he has had in a while. He obviously knew that you were a yorkie lady. |
It is great to know he is with you and being cared for. It really is hard to say if his owners care or not as he may of been missing for some time. Saying prayers all will work out best for the little guy. Have you checked craigslist in your area for a missing yorkie? |
Update well, he and my male yorkie are starting to get along a little better, and no accidents in the house overnight! Yay! he seems to be housebroke..He is definitely a feisty little guy and a very affectionate one too! I honestly don't think he received much attention and I think he may have been abused cause when I go to pick him up he shys away! poor guy. we are going to have the vet scan him for a chip this morning. I hope he don't have a chip because whoever did have him probably didn't take care of him. I will post some pics later of him |
Poor little guy. It's been so hot, he probably wouldn't have made it much longer on his own. Thank goodness for YOU!!! Looking forward to seeing pictures. |
poor little guy// he definitely found his guardian angel |
I'd be just heartbroken if either of my pups were lost! I'm glad you were able to give the little guy shelter & love while he's been with you. :) I also want to mention that it does not take long for a coat to become a tangled mess. PLEASE do try to find his owner; they're tips in the YT library (if someone doesn't post them I'll do it when I get home.) As for the shying away when you go to pick him up, my Tuffy does that & he's never been abused. |
Someone could've stolen him and then dumped the poor guy for whatever reason. With the shying away, the person that stole could have been doing so.. We are all speculating. Hopefully, he does have a loving owner who's frantically looking for him. Thank you for taking him in... I hope this will be one of those "happy ending" sort of thing. |
