| I'm so sorry. I don't know what I would do in your shoes. I just went through small claims court and even if the judge awards on your behalf, it can be a pain in the butt to collect if someone isn't willing to pay up. If you are going to sue, make sure you keep record of everything the breeder gave you, every phone call, vet record etc etc. The best option would be if the lady returned your money AND let you keep the dog(if you are able to afford to keep her with her medical conditions). I am sure you'll need the money for vet bills in the future. If she does take the pup back, she may put it to sleep...but my guess is that she will just sell it on down the road to another unsuspecting pet parent because she'll want the money Wondering if there are any places online where you can report bad breeders?? |

| I'm so sorry, Amy. You must be so broken hearted. These guarantees that involve giving back a much loved baby are insane. I was hopelessly in love with each of my past babies and with Katie from the minutes I held them, so i could not have given them up. You must think of what you can best handle, whether you are strong enough to cope with medical issues should they arise. This is just so sad..I would check the lemon laws to see if they can help you. An open fontanel puts your baby at a much higher risk for injury. Her knees can improve with proper exercising of them. I don't know about the risks with her vulva. Your breeder should be there to support you and your baby. I feel so bad that she is treating you poorly.

| I would keep the puppy I am sure there is already a bond there and get a lawyer and take her to court. I would also make sure you are setting money aside every month for future health care. All I can really say is I will keep her in my prayers.

| I am so sorry you are going through all this. Kyra had a small opening when she was that age but thankfully it has closed on its own. I am praying your babies will also.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | For those who were asking about the significance of a retracted vulva, this is a good explanation. In's and Out's of Puppy Vulvas Another troubling thing is that if this pup does develop hydrocephalus, there are generally issues with urine retention that make the pup even more at risk for UTI's and kidney infections. Amy, what state are you in? Only a few have good lemon laws.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Not necessarily. The heart and neural tube develops during the same time frame.

| What lemon laws apply? The ones in New Jersey or the one where the pup was purchased, Missouri?

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I'm pretty sure it would be Missourri's laws and they have no puppy lemon law. However, I did find this: Pet Lemon Law :
