Step back and look at what you are trying to prove. You are trying to justify the bucu dollars you spent on a mutt....hon you got robbed, plain and simple...she is committing highway robbery and making money off the backs of pups the easy way....because she can't follow rules and follow a path that has proven it is the only right one....

The way to start a good mixed breeding program is by getting two Akc pure breds that have great bloodlines...say i wanted to start breeding good lines thats how i would do it...no one hear can disagree with that...

Actually, I absolutely CAN and DO disagree with that. There is NO such beast as a "good" mixed breeding program. Ask yourself, why is it that when someone wants a "Morkie", they breed a Maltese and a Yorkie and not 2 existing Morkies? It's because you can not predict the breeding outcome among them. The point of a breeding program is to enhance certain traits while eliminating others. You have absolutely zero chance of that when you breed 2 mutts.

So when you breed for F1, you are NOT creating a breed and you are Not improving genetic diversity. Your argument fails.

I don't think the average person can just do that. Otherwise, we'd have so many more "breeds" than are currently recognized.

Consider the Biewer, for example. It's been more than 30 years in the making -- all started by an expert breeder -- and yet there are still issues and concerns and unanswered questions today. And there are many professional breeders involved with the betterment of the Biewer.

It's daunting. You're over-simplifying the process. That's dangerous!

I'm fully aware of what an F1 generation is. What you failed to answer, again, is why Morkie (or other mutt breeders) don't breed mutt to mutt. What you fail to understand is that a hybrid is not a breed.

You mixed the two situations up bb breeders and a knowledgeable breeder (AKC or not)...

Because you never know what your going to get when you mix two dogs together a lot of them become what the owner did not want so the owner gets rid of them. The rule of breeding is to better the breed mutt is not a breed therefore your not following the first rule of breeding and your just making more of what we already have thousands of in shelters. Nothing you say is going to convince educated people on here that breeding mixes is ok because it simply is not ever under no circumstances.
