Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() I have 6 Biewers and 1 Havanese. They are all healthy. I only breed healthy pairs. One of the many reasons why my health guarantee is offered to new parents. There are healthy parents out there producing healthy puppies. |

| ![]() I have been blessed to have the opportunity to purchase healthy breeding pairs, which beget healthy babies.....but that is not "by chance"....it has to do with pedigrees, healthy dogs going back for many, many generations. Your breeding program is only as strong as the foundation you have built upon. |

| ![]() Yup ^^^ agree. Breed only healthy dogs. That why you wait till the Dogs a mature and have a healthy line. Fix any that aren't. Or that aren't in the breeding program. Moki still going good 1yr 10mo. Greeders breed anything so never buy from them |

| ![]() Huey has been wonderfully healthy, and his parents were not genetically checked (byb) so I am especially lucky. The only issues he ever had, I was able to trace back as a medication reaction to Trifexis, and he has not had any issues at all since stopping that med. He is even free of lp or any other ortho issues and just had his 5th birthday. ![]()

| ![]() No, my dog began showing symptoms of MVD when he was 3 -4 years(pretty healthy until then) but Tibbe was a kind of a rescue in a way at 9 mos. of age when I got him, so I knew I could likely be getting a dog with congenital health problems lurking and I could tell from the moment I saw him, 9 mos. in a cage under an outside shed had left him with many behavioral and fear issues. But good vetting, proper care and training have remade him into a lovely, happy, frisky, well-behaved pet with only the occasional nausea, spitting up from his liver condition and virtually zero behavior problems now.

| ![]() No, but seeing as how and from whom I got Uni from she is fairly healthy, and I got extremely lucky. We bought her from who I now think is a broker. ![]() Toto has been with us for about a year. So far so good. But he also has LP. He also has a deformity on his pinky "fingers" on his front paws, although genetic, I won't count it against not being healthy, tho it's not normal.
