| Princess Sophie is healthy!! Of course she's only 13 weeks old. But so far she's had good reports from the vet. She goes in again this week.

| Bad hearts I did not know that Yorkies had bad hearts. MVD and LPs yes, but to date heart problems have not concerned me. I am sure there are those here who know the statistics on this subject better than I. Cherry, I am amazed first that you had a Yorkie until 18 yrs old, and that he also had liver shunt at one year old! Devilishness is the norm in my view. LOL! I must say that knowing the trials that can befall our babies we can get overprotective by frequent testing. But, so much better to be safe than sorry. Thanks for all the interesting input. |

| So far so good for both of my boys. Buddy is 8 years old and the worst for him has been 2 ear infections. Blazer is 9 months and every thing has been great with him so far, too. |

| I think this is a good thread!!! Lets see all the good instead of the bad! I have 4....My oldest is 4 yrs and has seasonal allergies, and very minor LP issues. Next is 2 yrs...He is a blue born, but considering, is healthy as can be!! Then, we have two 1 year olds....Both Healthy all the way around! (they are actually mixed breeds (shorkies and morkies)) We have been very fortunate I think, but do carry health insurance on all 4 just in case!!!

| Tatiana is healthy, and she's small (about 3 lbs). She did have some minor ailments (diarrhea, teeth extractions, etc), but nothing serious. So far, all the results from bloodwork and physical exams were normal. |

| I am very happy that my 4 are quite healthy (mostly), and only require annual checkups with the vet, and probably dental cleaning. Tiki, my 5 yr. old Yorkie was suspected of having MVD, however as long as she doesn't eat food too high in protein or fat, she does not have any problems. Meika, my 4 1/2 yr. old Morkie, needs to lose a few pounds, but no other probs. Kayla & Karlee, almost 4 yr. old Morkies, have never had any health issues at all. I feel very lucky as all 4 are from BYBs.

| I am so happy to say that Charlie is very healthy! He is 4 lbs and 2 1/2 years old. He had a tiny cyst/growth on his foot once, the vet removed it and biopsied it -we never had another problem with it. I am very diligent with staying on top of his immunizations, heart worm and flea prevention. Even though he is small he is very sturdy, he also is under the impression that he is a very large dog! All in all I must say he is perfect and he has me very well trained! Haha |
