We get drop offs more than I care to think about. Many people go out and buy a puppy or respond to one of those "free puppy ads" only to realize they dont want to be bothered with the work that comes with a pup. sometimes the shelter gets them, sometimes they come straight to us. As far as being able to easily contact the woman who dropped off the pup, while we do ask for contact info, not everyone give it to us. Honestly I dont care who they are, I'd much rather them bring the puppies here than dump them, sell them to the first person with cash, or worse. if you have any other questions please feel free to ask

Yes I have tried all of these actually I've crushed the kibble into smaller bits. I have tried adding warm water. I have totally soaked them, I have offered canned food, canned food mixed with water, can food mixed with nutristat. I have boiled chicken breast and minced it, beef liver and minced it. I eventually broke down and just started scraping the canned food on the roof of his mouth to get him to eat it. At that point I was desperate. I am supposed to get an update today at 4. I'll post when I can. Thank you all again SOOOO much!!

| I guess my first reply post didnt go through. Peanut is at the vets office now. He was up and walking this morning when I took him in but still refusing to eat on his own. He did finally have a bm but it was the strangest shade of green I think I have ever seen. They have him on iv fluid now and are forcefeeding perscription diet a/d I think is what the vet said. Sorry if I'm not making much sense....I havent had much sleep the past few days I will talk to my boss about contacting a yorkie rescue, that sounds like a great idea! thanks guys! |

| Yes very questionable. The picture posted makes me wonder. Looks like a breeder (BYB) type pic with the soda can etc.

| I only put the can in the picture so you guys could see the size, I'm not a breeder I'm just asking for help seeing as I will be caring for this puppy, The whole reason I joined this forum was to get advice and help, not feel like I am in trial or something sheesh, thank for everyone who's offered up suggestions. He's still at the vet anyone who want to be sent updates let me know and I'll pm you, new or not I dont like being called a liar, straight up or hinted at. Thats just rude |

| What I don't understand is if they are working in conjunction with vets and a local shelter, why did she need to resort to YT to get answers? Wheres the 'pet shop vet' and the local rescue ?
