| Why so against about buying from pet store? As some of you know, I am new here, I just got my puppy and i got it from a pet store, and i am here reading some post and i see people so against pet store that would never buy a puppy from a pet store. I understand there is a way of adopting without spending so much money, but poor little puppies at the store no??? They are so innocent just like the adopting ones, i understand the money, but anyways there is always gonna be pet store, at the store i go, they always welcome my puppy so much when i go with her, and they help me to find the best food for her, clean her and cut her nails, i am a new mommy, so maybe i am wrong, but i am soooo proud of my baby Lully, i love her so much and i am so glad i took her from that store with such a small space and gave her a new home I love my Lully |

| Buying a puppy from a pet shop, you have to think backwards. You go to the pet shop and you see some adorable pups, about 8 weeks old. Look at their tags. Where are they from? States away? How long did it take for them to get trucked to the shop? How old were they when they were taken away from their moms? By the way, who are their moms and where are they? The sad and scary truth is that puppies taken away from their moms too early and sold in pet shops are from puppymills, period. What of the moms? They are bred at each and every heat and their pups taken away from them again too early. Once they are too old to produce puppies (profit) they are killed. If you buy from a pet shop, this is what you support. Even if you buy toys, collars, leashes. Anything you buy from them you support puppymills. Google puppymills. There are millions upon millions of perfectly good dogs put down every year bc there aren't enough good homes for them. There are rescues full of perfectly good dogs that need homes bc of them. And yes there are purebred yorkies, and young ones as well. My current foster Lily is proof of it. This lovely young girl is available, and she is a rescue.

| I believe that if pet stores got their puppies from reputable breeders and they didint keep the puppies in those shop display box and they actually cared about the animals, i might feel differently. But once you see those poor mommy and daddy dogs and theur conditions, i really cant justify an animal lover supporting such a place. But we all have to learn these lessons as we go. We all didn't know until someone told us, so dont feel too guilty about it. I always say: when you know better, you do better

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | This site will give you great information. I had heard about puppy mills but never gave it a second thought. I to have bought a dog from a store not a yorkie but my cairn after my first yorkie died. She is amazing dog. Lucky she has been very healthy But since have been to you tube and looked up puppy mills I would NEVER buy another one that way. This site really has opened my eyes to many different subjects. So enjoy your pup make lots of new friends. And welcome to you and your pup

| Yeah i was just searching for the puppy mills and yeah pretty sad, I actually had the choice from buying a Yorkie from my friend's friend (little less expensive) or from the store, and as i am new mommy i felt safer having it from the pet store because it included everything and every detail i need it, i didnt want to have a new puppy and not know what to do with it, and now at least i have my baby with a microchip, numbers of emergency calls, the breeders name, 1 year free guarantee for major sickness such as tumors, basic training dvds , 3 free vet office visits and more!!! I dont know , i dont feel guilty because i know maybe my baby was gonna be in worse hands, because even if i didnt buy it, she was so cute that i know she was gonna be sold soon, maybe someone would buy her to play with kids and she would be not really threatened well, at least i am a new mommy but i feel i am doing good because i give her so much love!!!!! But yeah i understand and maybe after having more experience i will adopt in the future!! Thankx guysss |
