| Hi and welcome to YT. I can't tell you how many times I've stepped on our yorkie Zach. These things happen when you have small dogs. A long time ago my mom fell over our beagle. Nothing happened to the dog but my mom broke her wrist. I even fell over our Basset Hound and she ain't no small dog. You have to learn the yorkie shuffle. Don't walk just shuffle along the floor. Hope Beamer is okay. Keep us posted. |

| Welcome to YT and I am so sorry this happened to your baby. These little ones have to be watched all the time. I tell my husband ever time he gets up out of the recliner, which is a death trap to these babies, to count little heads before getting up. Hope little Beamer has no broken bones. I know your daughter must feel terrible. They just have to be watched so close because they are so little. Let us know how that baby is and we are praying for the best news. |

| So glad you rushed Beamer to the vet. I have read 4 of these threads in the last few months many people wait days only to then pist their yorkies leg was broken, 3 required surgery perhaps due to waiting. Please give your daughter a hug and yes...the yorkie shuffle, I dont think I ever look up walking at home.

| [QUOTE=rappelman;4010409]. The vet opens in 10 minutes....I'm calling. Please keep us updated....praying this baby is ok...I want to add that in an emergency, sometimes you can just be waiting on the door step when they open their doors! That way, you donthave a receptionist telling you you can bring the baby in later in the afternoon....that baby may very well be in shock and will need to be seen, sooner than later....just so you will know,,,,you CAN walk in with your injured baby, and they will see you almost immediately! |

| Hope your pup is okay?? IMHO is thats the second accident with the daughter I would monitor or restrict the play until the pup get older?? They are fragile JMO Reason why I know where the emergency 24 hr vet is located. For me it's $90 more or added to whatever the cost is. For me it's worth it. Happens I change that to my regular vet they were so efficient vs my old one. |

| The Yorkie Shuffle...lol...love it! ![]() I've had kitties for many, many years...so I learned to do the identical 'cat walk' way back when, but before I did, I tripped in a very small kitchen...too small to fall down in as pregnant as I was...over my kitty and he just couldn't understand how I could NOT see him and just sat, glaring at me in amazement that I couldn't see him over my 'baby' belly when he could see me clearly. Since the '70's, I have not taken 1 step without looking all around my feet several times to see who is where...and I have still occasionally have had a kitty or puppy sneak into my path. In fact, I have had kitties whack their heads on the bottoms of plates I was holding because the kitty wasn't there when I picked up the plate but they decided to jump up as I moved the plate over the spot they would want to be in momentarily. I have also 'goal posted' some that 'weren't there' when my foot started moving forward. ![]() I hope your Yorkie baby is okay, and give puppy and your poor little distraught daughter some extra hugs and kisses from Cat and 'the kids' Brody and Mia, and their kitty brothers and sisters.

| just reading and hope we get news soon ![]() I also use the yorkie shuffle... we don't wear shoes in the house so that also helps. When I first got Remy there was a little girl at the vets that was in a bad way due to being steped on and her leg was broken. That vet was a bit old fashion and took the leg off I now have read there are ways that leg could have been saved... so op don't give up and find the best care you can. Good luck
