I meant to ask it as a question. I didn't see the post count. But personally I see these post all the time. I would have been to the vet. I was simply suggesting to know where the emergency Vet is near ..if there is one? May not be the case for everyone.? I consider myself lucky. The training center , vet and emergency care is one place less than 10min from me. And sometimes I write without compassion but I don't mean to

Elvis is busy doing the bunny hop as we call it...a lightning fast backwards hop whenever I have the nerve to go in a direction I did not get previous approval from him...the bunny hop is usually followed by the stink eye...

LMAO...mine are very good at scurrying out of the way when they guess wrong. Mia is phenomenal at shooting straight backwards, but she is more velcro'd to me, too. I don't see the stink eye very often...maybe all the years of experience with cat tails...barefoot is my standard...easier to feel when they are near...they are so quiet! I am not sure I have ever stepped on a tail barefoot, but shoes hide so much. I do have some really open sandals I kick around in now...so I can run outside quickly when necessary. Little dogs learn early on to watch out for feet. Cats, however, are apparently trained in utero to know it is your fault, therefore, they are not obligated to watch out for you..and you are fully responsible for any accident.

I am anxious to hear how the baby is doing, too...hope the OP posts soon.

We also went through a similar situation..my 7 year old daughter dropped our Yorkie puppy, Chewy on the floor. I have never heard a dog scream before like that in my life. She didn't pick him up the way I had taught her to and he wiggled right out of her hands onto the carpeted (at least) floor. Chewy wouldn't put any weight or walk on his leg, so I immediately took him to the vet as soon as they opened. Lucky for us, he was ok, no broken bones or fractures, the vet thought maybe his shoulder was sprained so he gave him a shot for swelling and some medicine for pain. I am happy to say that my daughter really learned her lesson and Chewy has fully recovered with no lasting injuries. The rest of my life I will never forget that scream..
