| ![]() What do you mean by another one bites the dust? Still shows she is a member and she also seems very willing to learn. That was a bit uncalled for I think.

| ![]() Before finding out differently, alot of people are afraid of spay surgery & think breeding is "natural" - something females are born to do. That is what forums like this do is help those that are asking and seeking information about what they think is a natural function of female dogs, to understand that it isn't wise or safe in most instances. In my opinion, knowing what I know now about the genetic problems passed on by ill-advised breeding and the dangers of breeding even a normal-sized Yorkie female, breeding Yorkies should be left to those with years of experience, deep pockets, quick access to vets 24/7, the heart to treat their breeding dogs as housepets and a true dedication to improving the breed and producing a dog of excellent temperament.

| ![]() I agree with the others. Just enjoy your baby. And I'll tell you what I told another member who wanted to breed, spend the money that you'd have to be spending one genetic testing, breeding supplies, vet visits, and c-sections on cute dresses, bows, beds, and girly collars/harnesses! ![]() Breeding is a very challenging and risky route to take, especially with how little your baby is. So enjoy her! ![]()

![]() ![]() Make sure you spoil her with kisses and hugs when she gets spayed. I don't know what your experiences with pet are, but she'll be a little out of it, but should snap back in no time. Gizmo send his puppy kisses! ![]()

Plus, I remember reading the Joan Gordon's 1976 book, The Complete Yorkshire Terrier and the section about breeding for correct color and coat and the genetics possibilities even in that old book just crossed my eyes. I must have reread that section 4 times before I got a handle on all that they were saying and trying to communicate just on that one aspect of what color/coat to cross with what other color/coat!!! And that is only a tiny part of what to know about breeding for standard, let alone all the huge considerations about health and temperament.
