Before finding out differently, alot of people are afraid of spay surgery & think breeding is "natural" - something females are born to do. That is what forums like this do is help those that are asking and seeking information about what they think is a natural function of female dogs, to understand that it isn't wise or safe in most instances.

In my opinion, knowing what I know now about the genetic problems passed on by ill-advised breeding and the dangers of breeding even a normal-sized Yorkie female, breeding Yorkies should be left to those with years of experience, deep pockets, quick access to vets 24/7, the heart to treat their breeding dogs as housepets and a true dedication to improving the breed and producing a dog of excellent temperament.
