I was driving through town the other day and saw a woman walking with a tiny yorkie in her arms...i pullled up, rolled my window down, picked up my 3 pound furrybaby in the bag for her to see. I said wow she's small! Half the size of mine. How old is she? She replied, "12 years old." Wow i said. She said,"yes, she's a teacup." Cutest little thing, well proportioned too and healthy...long life!

Your baby is 3 pounds and hers was half the size? That's got to be a record.

When I got pixie I was told that she would be around 4 or 5 lbs. Pixie has surprised us all at 7 lbs....good food and treats I guess. lol She did lose a 1/2 lb this yr but I don't care what she weighs as long as she is healthy

I think sometimes we get stuck into wanting them to stay small.....
I read so many posts of sick pups and it makes me greatful that she is a healthy 7lb yorkie

I don't know how much she weighed just that she sure looked 1/2 the size of my puppy. My dil's puppy has to weigh the same as mine and her's is 1/2 the size but 2 months younger. My puppy was twice as tall at the age of hers...mine is tall and fine, while her's is short and plump, dang cute!

With all that fur, it's hard to tell how much a yorkie weighs

Crazy but I thought wow, sometimes some of those really tiny ones live a long and wonderful life. The owner is very fortunate!!!

My girl is 5.0 and dad Max 7.8 and they had 2 pups which I kept them all , Mia the girl is 5.8 and the boy Kobe is 8.8 at 9 months

... So u just don't know for sure what size they will be..... Love them all !!!

I for sure thought my Mya would be around 7 lbs... By 11 months, she hit 10 1/2 lbs. Yet I also believe I was over feeding her. :/ She still didn't feel heavy to me though. I carried her around just the same as when she was younger. Just not too often. She had a lot of non-silky hair on her. lol. So far, the chart puts my Miki at around 5 to 5 1/2 lbs. I'm good either way as long as I can still carry her around if need be. I don't like leaving my girl at home by herself if I'm going to be gone for long hours.
