Poor Lexee and mom, that is so scary. I have a potty bell by the front door and one day Sheldon rang them and his hail got caught in one of the bells, poor guy. I turned the ribbon up side down and problem solved. | |

| ![]() All of mine wear collars at all times, but walk on a harness. They wear one reversible, lightweight tag. One side has their name, two phone numbers and the 4th line says "Pls Call Mom". The reverse side has says "Home Again", the microchip number, the toll free number and the 4th line says "I wanna go home". I worry that multiple tags will be too heavy on their little necks.

| ![]() The day that Gracie left with the cable guy is the day that I decided she would never be without her collar and ID tag. I had put her in my daughter's bedroom while they guy was there working on some issues we were having with the router. He had to keep going in and out and she was sure he was there to see her. Unknown to me my daughter let her out of the bedroom. One of the times he opened the door to go out she slipped out the door with him. He never noticed. When he was leaving about 15 or 20 minutes later he found her way up by the road. We live back in a wooded area. Thank God he picked her up and brought her home. She was about 6 months old at the time. I did not even know she was outside the bedroom! There are just so many unexpected things that can happen. We do our very best to protect these babies but then nothing is ever 100% foolproof in this life. Thankfully I still have my Gracie but I still shudder to think what could have happened that day. At least an ID tag can speak for these babies that can't speak for themselves. An ID tag is not 100% effective in protecting our pets but it is a useful tool. |

| ![]() Yes Charlie wears his that holds his tag 24/7 also. The only time it comes off is when he has a bath. |

Yorkie Talker | ![]() I've tried a collar on Mercer many times she always gets her mouth caught in it. I've tried the breakaway and its off in a very short time. I worry about her not wearing a collar but I don't know what to do it is too dangerous having a collar on her. She gets it caught in her mouth and can't get it out then she's fighting with it and her poor little mouth is stuck open and being pulled down. She is the first dog I've never had a collar on, she is 8 months and almost 3 1/2 lbs. |

| ![]() My yorkie wears collars mostly ![]() Cat collars are too small for him, he's a big yorkie. Also I can't use a cat collar cause I tie him outside in the garden a few times a day (I'm always with him when he's tied outside), if I'd tie him to a cat collar he'd break it and run away, and get missing, he can't with a dog collar if it's tight enough, he can get out of all harnesses if he's tied outside, I have one leather harness that fits him perfectly, no matter how tight I make it he can always find a way to get out of it, he's like Houdini ! I have all kinds of collars, chokers, half-choke collars, (I almost never use them though, I never attach leash to them if they are able to choke him, the half choke ones, they are long enough for him so they don't choke him if he's pulling, I like using them inside cause they aren't tight on it but if he pulls it gets that tight that he can't get out of them, still they wont choke him). I dont have a harness that fits over clothes, if it's hot outside and dry then I use his spiked leather harness, I have to find a harness that fits over his clothing, so if he's wearing clothes I attach the leash to the collar, but he only walks at heel all the time then and doesn't pull much. I have bunch of collars, also some harnesses, and a bunch of leashes :P

| ![]() I should add, Corky collar, is just for his tags only. he is walked with an harness. nothing is attached to the collar because of the possibility of trachea issues. I do not have issues because he is not a small yorkie. |

Yorkie Talker | ![]() I had it with only one finger to slip under and she finds a way to get her mouth stuck on it. I never had a dog do that and I've had dogs my whole life and my own dogs since I got married 27 years ago. I don't dare put it any tighter because I feel like it will choke her. |
