| I dont mind pet stores that dont have dogs in cages. there are plenty that sell fish and birds and hampsters and supplies. ill buy from those. if i see puppies in cages i wouldn't . i love dogs. they are great and dont deserve the way some treat them is all. |

| Ever see the way the birds get packaged for shipment to a pet store. It is just cruel. It is not only puppies trust me.

| It seems to be a common trend to think that way. I once stood in a pet store and a woman who was holding a tiny "designer" puppy told me she knew it came from a puppy mill but that it needed a good home. No responsible breeder sends their puppies to a store at 6 weeks of age and lets someone else sell them to the highest bidder. Puppy mills sell those pups for $100.00 to 200.00 a pup and then the pet store pops up the price from there. Where I live they get most of their pups shipped from the mid west. How on earth does a Yorkie puppy from the mid west end up being ready to be sold in a pet store in the north east at 6 weeks of age? It's cruel. Newspapers and radio should be outing these people on a daily basis. It would be so easy to do. Just educate the public. Now people love to go to pet shops and see the cute puppies but maybe if people knew the truth about puppy mills they would change their minds. You have to have a really hard heart to run one of those places. |

Yep. They had the cute little yorkie poos and all. If I couldn't join a group that busted puppymills, I'd love it.

Max Main's Mamma Donating YT Member | Yuck! How are puppy mills still legal? My friend just rescued a Yorkie that came from a puppy mill. She is soooo shy and nervous. She obviously had many litters and is having a hard time adjusting to her new family. She stays in her crate mostly and never plays. It is sooo sad! I would rescue all the Yorkies in the world if I could. |

I was reading that some puppy mills get shut down but the owners just start up in another state or county. You would think they could think of some other way to make money!

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I won't shop in any store that sells puppies or kittens. I ask folks that buy puppies from me to do the same thing. To not support these stores. |

| i am sorry to say that years ago i bought my dad i dashound froma pet store. I was one of the many uneducated people who didn't knwo where they came from or bothered to ask. I wondered then and still do does anyone know what happens to the puppies they don't sell. You never see adult dogs in pet shops and i know every puppy doesnt sell so what happens to these puppies? |
