| This is what I use for their pads, I can't find the Purina dog pans anywhere anymore, so I purchased this. Works great! It is probably 1-2" in the negative depth wise but Miss Mini and Miss Mia have no problems with them.

| Sophie Kate is both indoor and outdoor trained (boy that was not easy but once she learned the "Go Potty" command it helped) I was opposed to Pee Pads when I first got her but I quickly learned that I needed them. Sophie Kate will not tell me when she has to go, so we are on a schedule and we keep the schedule. She knows if she has to go and it we are inside she is to use the pad. I also use the washable pads, I change them often and if she happens to poop on the pad I flush and change it immediately. She doesn't do that often since I think she knows her schedule and she should do that outside (well I think she does). Regarding the cat and the litter box, just recently I have began to suspect that perhaps Avery the cat is using the pee pads also. 1, the odor is stronger than normal and 2, the pads are wet and I know Sophie Kate has not been out of my sight. I will give Avery the cat a break, he is old and at least he is using the pad and not something else.

Oh, that's so interesting; I never thought of that, I would much prefer that over cleaning a litter box.

| My girls are pad and outside trained. During the day they go to the door when they want out even though I keep a pad down. (I use the washable pads). At night is when they will use the pad if they need to potty. I take disposable pads with us on trips to use either in the motor coach or a motel. I just won't go outside after dark when traveling, or if it's raining. The pads are perfect all the way around. Couldn't, wouldn't do without them.

| all of mine are pad and outside trained although Molly still has accidents, she is blind so she misses from time to time but that is why I have a rug scrubber.

| YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Um m interesting the cat is using the pad. Giving me a thought or two. I really hate the mess of litter; I wonder if I can train the cat to use a pad in his litter box? Maybe just with a fine coating of litter over it? Razzle is outdoor trained now. We do prefer it that way, but boy when we are travelling it would be nice to have him peepad trained.

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | You can train a cat to use the toilet! You put a ltter box on the toilet and cut a whole in the bottom, gradually making the hole bigger over time. Soon there is nothing but an edge around the toilet and that eventually goes. This cat has learned, and watch how he uses toilet paper to cover his poop! I decided to check and see if anyone had trained their dogs to do this, I'm amazed!

| My new baby was only 7 weeks old when I got her. The lady told me she was 8 weeks and I had just lost my husband and my Dee Dee, our Yorkiei of 10 years so I didn't go over her AKC papers. The lady had started them on Pee Pads and being cold in Ohio and her so young and tiny I found this worked fine. I am still using them I have had her about 5 weeks now and I see nothing wrong with them. I found Yorkies to be hard to potty train compared to other dogs I have had. Dee Dee would go out when the weather was nice and if cold, NOPE and we did not start her out on Pee pads so we ended up going through a lot of mops and carpet cleaners. We loved her so much and it was just me and my husband so we didn't mind. If you read, a lot of people in apartments and condos with no place to take them out use these all the time. What ever works for you and your baby is fine. |

Two. I wouldn't think of putting a little yorkie out in rain, freezing snow or a hurricane so I will try to keep her on pee pads and when it gets nice I may put one on the patio. Our yard is too large and we have a woods behind us with all kinds of wild animals that come into our yard so my son enclosed our patio with a fence. Our little Dee Dee we lost wanted grass so we put a grass rug on the patio and that is the part she used. Then we washed it down. Third: Most all dogs loose bladder control when they get oldelr so what are you going to do get rid of them? To each his own. I will be no ones judge but you have to use some commons sense. All things fall into play and what works for one may not work for the other. I still don't see how using a peed pad of material would be sanitary, they have to go into the washer and the pee pads have an odor to bring the dog to them and you just throw away. | |

| I think it's just like anything else we hear about Yorkies or other small dogs. People are negative about things they are not familiar with. Many people have only one view of life and it is their view. I love having the pee pads, and Gracie loves them, too. She is happy to potty outside when we go for our walks but I really think small dogs sometimes go more often than a bigger dog. Not to mention that some dogs (and people) do not like going out in bad weather. I think it is rude for people to make unsolicited comments about how other people run their lives. I could not care less about what anyone thinks about my dog or her pee pads! |

| I must have a super smart pup!!!! Kaji is dual trained and never misses. (when he does it's human error) I was not a fan of piddle pads bu changed my mind when it came time to move back home. It was several factors that convinced me to make the switch. The two main ones were 1) Not thr best neighborhood and i dont want Kaji stepping in glass every night. 2) I work out of the home and no one would be available to let him out. Plus, my mom is insanely forgetful especially since Kaji is not one of her priorities. Kaji doesn't drink enough water and is prone to urine crystals. Asking him to hold it for for 9 hours a day promotes urine crystals, I can't have that! He needs to be able to potty during the day. Kaji's been so good about the piddle pads too! His piddle pad is in the bathroom and he knocks on the door and waits his turn. When Kaji and I are not home, he still remembers his previous training and asks to be let out to potty. I've been blessed with such a good dog!

| My 4 Yorkies use both, the pee pads are very convenient if they are left alone for a while and especially if the weather is bad. They like both of them. I have cats that use litter boxes, and I wash the pads several times a day.
