| The sock idea is awesome! Thank you so much for taking the time to find that for me! And if anybody is really interested in getting rid of a few things, let me know and we can definitely figure something out! THANK YOU!

| Okay, I e-mailed my breeder to find out Roxy's exact current weight. Lol And thank you again, you all are SO helpful. I couldn't have found a more wonderful place to talk about my new addition. (:

We are all concerned because we know that puppies learn so much from the mom and littermates between the ages of 8-12 weeks. Things like bite inhibition, some learn potty training, also at 8 weeks, Yorkie puppies are prone to hypoglycemic attacks, which are life threatening. You'll have to watch her for that. At 12 weeks, the puppies are better able to regulate their own sugar, and many times episodes stop completely. This is the recommendation of the YTCA (I think) as they have research to back this up. This is the last I will say... I don't want to harp on you... How long does this breeder guarantee the health of this puppy? Also, most all insurances require that you pay up front, then wait to get reimbursed.

| And this is extremely important: Know when or if the breeder vaccinated her, and with what type of vaccine(s). Then go to the Yorkie Talk Library and read up on vaccinating small dogs. Some of the 'rules and recommendations' have changed.

| Not a problem! I hope you can convince the breeder to keep your pup with her mom for an extra 4 weeks. It really is in her best interest.

| One more tip..to spoil a yorkie rotten: lots of attention, lots of cuddling, lots of walks (when she is old enough), and lots of playtime. All of these things are priceless.

| I thought i was ready for meesha but she ended up costing me alot more then i expected, i didn't realise how many potty pads she'd use, they cost me 35$ for a box of 100, she went through 100 in a month lol.. her vaccines, treats, blankets, toys and i wouldn't worry about clothes too much until shes older, its soooo hard to find anything to fit them when they're a puppy all of meeshas clothes are too big i can only put them on for a few mins to take photos then take have to take them off, i got a few boyish looking sweaters to put on her when she's cold, if they don't fit well they're just going to squiggle out of them, you should have a nest egg of money put away for any unforseen accidents, fall off a bed of a couch or twist thier leg running, better be prepared and safe then be sorry, congrats on your new baby though i had a sheltie growing up, but i didn't realise how much work raising a puppy would be on my own, its jsut like a baby LOL so be prepared for that too |
