| I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot even begin to imagine..... I would definitely spend a few dollars to consult with an attorney for advice on how to proceed. I also would contact the Better Business Bureau and ask for advice on how to lodge a complaint against that business.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I am so sorry for your loss. If you believe the death of your furbaby was caused by either negligence or a deliberate act on the part of the groomer, than your local animal control might be a good place to start. After that, I would seek the advice of a lawyer to see if there was any further action you could take. Small claims court, where you represent yourself, might be another option. I'm also a big believer in the power of the press. If you believe this was a preventable tragedy, you might consider contacting your local paper or news station to see if they could run a story about it. That way it might possibly prevent someone else from suffering the way you have.

| First of all im so sorry for your loss. A few years ago a relative of mine brought her dog to groomer to get her nails clipped and the groomer cut the nail to close, a blood infection formed and the dog died soon after. I don't really remeber the details because I was living far away at the time but I can find out for you. I believe she sued and won...at the very least the cost of the dog, and vet bills.

I don't leave my pups at the groomer. If I cannot sit there, then they don't go. Period.

| Yes this is why I'm terrified of getting Kaos's nails clipped and I could never do it myself. He's way overdue and I completly forgot to get it done at the vet last week.

| OP there is an attorney in BR who deals with animal laws. I don't have the name, but perhaps you can google for it. Are you close to BR?

| This is so sad. I hope you contact some lawyers, the BBB, Animal control, your local news, all the online review sites. I remember a thread on here a while back a baby was left in the cage dryer and suffered 3rd degree burns. Poor baby was cooking from the inside out, but she survived. The damage was horrific. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...n-graphic.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...-largo-fl.html http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...es-friend.html
