Yorkie death at groomer Without details of the tragedy, my beloved Yorkie died at the groomer from gross negligence on their part. I would pray this has happened to no one else, but I understand that it has. MY QUESTION: Does anyone out there know of ANY law or legal ramifications???? I am told none exist. Please help if possible! Thank you...and go kiss your yorkie! |
Im so sorry for your loss that is terrible. |
I'm so sorry for your lost. Hopefully someone here may be able to give you some advice on the legalities. |
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! That is soo horrible!!! it makes me so sick to my stomach to hear things like this. I am a groomer and i do not even understand how that happens!!! A friend of my mothers knew of someone who took their cocker spaniel to a groomer and she was killed in a cage with a cage dryer left on her too long, and the stainless steel cage got too hot and killed her. I just cannot even imagine this ever happening. ALthough i refuse to use a cage dryer. Did you sign any form of release to the groomer before you left your dog? Did it have any health problems? |
i'm sure if you contacted a local lawyer about wrongful death of a pet or animal neglect/abuse from that groomer you would have a case in small claims court at least. it's sure worth a shot. they won't be able to get your baby back and i'm so sorry to hear about the loss, but you can get financial compensation and possibly put them out of business or have their license revoked. |
Ugh I am so sorry to hear this! When I first got my puppy, her breeder warned me about groomers. I wish yours had given you the same warning :( I don't know the legalities of it, but I would NOT rest until you expose them! Call your local news, start a blog, a facebook page, ANYTHING to destroy their name. I am so sorry for your loss. |

I cannot imagine the grief you must be going through right now. I am so very sorry for your loss. |
Oh my gosh how sad. Sending hugs I would agree maybe just call a lawyer and ask. You may save someone else's dog. |
I am so sorry for your loss. Accidents happen quite frequently with small dogs at the groomers, in doggie daycare, and at home, and many are preventable. As I am not familiar with laws in your state, it may be best to contact a lawyer to see what can be done. Again I am so very sorry for your loss. |
Someone already gave you the legal advice I would have so I just wanted to let you know how very sorry I am for your loss |
RachelandSadie gave good advice. I am so very sorry for your loss. |
I am so sorry for your loss. This is a fear of mine when I leave Gizmo with someone. I also had a friend who lost their baby due to an accident at the groomers. |
How awful! I am so very sorry for your loss! |
This is such a terrible tragedy, my Prayers are with you. I know you are heartbroken. There should be something legally you can do, there was a story in the news in Atlanta last year, a man left his small dog at the groomers and they left the dog on the table with the leash on his neck and he died from a broken neck. The man sued the person that owned the grooming salon. |
Oh how horrible! I can't imagine what you must be going through. I hope you find some way to bring them to justice for what they have done. I am so sorry! |
