| Another Burned at Groomer "Chloe's Friend" I posted in Jan about Chloe, my friend's yorkie who was so horribly burned by groomer (you guys were awesome with your support and more)..Chloe is healing well - but I want to keep this front and center. It's not a Yorkie, but a cockapoo (matters not) JUST to remind everyone - be careful where you take your babies for grooming!! I am heartsick today by this information. The groomer (in link/blog below) is doing much work to take it front and center to the mfgs of the dryers (has been doing much research and hands on research of dryers since Chloe)...but this dog has suffered much worse than Chloe did (altho I would have never thought it possible). I pray she makes it! Please visit the groomer's blog and let her know what great work she is doing. If you didn't already know, you can read Chloe's story there, as well as much here. | Apologies if I should not have posted..But.. After reading rules about posting on this thread...I might be deleted :-( It's not about a Yorkie - but a followup on a Yorkie "CHLOE" and news on another fluffy breeds fate at the hands of an incompetent groomer - just want all of you to beware of what can happen at groomers if you aren't careful. My apologies to Admins if I overstepped rules/regulations. I love Yorkies - altho am owned by 3 Boston Terrorists |

| The close up pics on the blog are very very hard to look at. I feel nauseous. I can't even being to imagine how much pain that baby is in.

| No, not same groomer - different State, same Story, that is the Scary part, SOS! Only I think Bailey's burns are much worse than Chloe's - and that I didn't think possible. |

| I always ask if they use the 'cage' dryers where they are left unattended. They all say no. That poor baby.

| This is why when I take my dogs to the groomer, I tell them to just groom. I will wash and blow dry before I bring them. |

| I remember and am still horrified by Chloe's injuries. Thank you for spreading the word about these dryers. I passed on the story to all of the people I know who have their babies groomed after you told Chloe's story. So many of the people I know didn't know about these dryers and have checked to make sure their groomers aren't using them. I did almost all of the grooming on my three little girls, but had them groomed professionally once or twice a year. One of my little girls was injured many years ago when she was being groomed. She ended up going into shock and I luckily rushed from the groomer to an emergency hospital nearby. We were able to save her, but it was close. After that I always groomed my three girls myself. I know most groomers are excellent and, even with the best, accidents happen. I just think the more we are aware of the dangers, the more we can protect our little ones. I appreciate the time you are taking to educate us and the help you are giving to protect innocent animals.

| Poor Babies the company that makes them and the groomers who did this need to be hung in front of the dryer.

| I not only have asked - I look - to see their setup. I don't trust anyone with my babe until I've personally checked out the grooming setup. I think it is just lazy to use cage driers. How could anyone even consider using them? There have been any number of postings of what they can do on YT over the years.

| Poor Bailey! That is so horrific! Just when I start thinking about taking Liz to a groomer, I hear something like this. No way will I let anyone else groom her now. I never imagined something so bad could happen. On my way to work, there is a boarding kennel and groomer. A couple years ago a guy would be outside picketing with a big sign that said they injured his dog. He kept at it too, probably for three months or so. Next thing I saw was a sign that said the place was under new management. Even so, their business never seemed to recuperate from that guy and his sign.
