If you believe the death of your furbaby was caused by either negligence or a deliberate act on the part of the groomer, than your local animal control might be a good place to start. After that, I would seek the advice of a lawyer to see if there was any further action you could take. Small claims court, where you represent yourself, might be another option.

I'm also a big believer in the power of the press. If you believe this was a preventable tragedy, you might consider contacting your local paper or news station to see if they could run a story about it. That way it might possibly prevent someone else from suffering the way you have.
