To the OP: You are in a vulnerable state and I hope you are not taken advantage of by anyone on the internet. Protect yourself. Don't get involved in anything that may land you in hot water, and don't hand over any money.

| At work but just popped in for a minute while I can... As for my OP request about purchasing another Yorkie less than $500, allow me to clarify what I meant. We never could have afforded to purchase a Yorkie this year. That's why when the possibility to keep Lily was given to us, we were so thrilled. Even if we aren't able to get Lily back (which is unlikely, I HOPE!), we will get another Yorkie next year when we can afford it. I probably didn't explain that so well and sounded "desperate for a cheap Yorkie" in my original post. That wasn't my intention. We were just so shocked and hurt about Lily, all I could think of was what do I do, and even thinking we should find another Yorkie right away because I didn't think we would be able to get her back. The void of her absence has been tough. I never thought I would love a little dog so much! As for updates: I spoke with Ojai for some legal advice as to my rights and to come up with a good plan to get Lily back. Working to get a hold of son-in-law so we can speak with him and see what direction we will be taking. |

Your forewarning is noted. I don't intend on giving money to anyone. Also, I have been conferring with my sister about all the advice given, just as a second head in the huddle. We are trying to be level headed about all of this and not storm the castle in the same manner the breeder stormed our castle. We want to get Lily back. No questions about that. But my sister and I have also reached the conclusion if it gets to the point were if it can't be done calmly and rationally, we will probably have to let her go. As it is, it sounds like the son-in-law will have the final say in the matter. It was his and his wife's (Kay's daughter) dog originally. Originally they did give her back to the breeder long before this erratic "pass the dog back and forth" routine began. I'm sorry if anyone thinks I haven't been clear or have been misrepresenting anyone else in the situation. This has been a crazy, awful experience and I have not purposely left any info or facts out. | |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Yes, the OP’s post of not being able to afford $500.00 for a new dog raised some red flags for some of us. Here’s what admin has to say about soliciting dogs for under $500 . Quote:

Is warning the OP to protect herself your definition of practicing law? Are you admitted to the Colorado bar?

| Are you taking my deposition? If so, you need to serve me with proper notice, but you may run into jurisdictional problems. You can act in pro per, if you would like. Or you could hire an attorney. Or ... you could try to find some good-hearted lawyer to provide you with pro bono services. Good luck!

| Hey Miss Flora, I think it would be wise to have this thread closed. Just a well intentioned suggestion. I wish you all the luck in the world! Please come back and tell us the outcome! I pray Lily is returned to you soon.
