You could try and take her to court for misrepresenting things, but it's going to be pretty hard to prove without a contract. Most likely your best recourse is to report her to the AKC and YTCA. I'm sorry you are having problems with your pup and sorry to hear that the breeder still hasn't cleaned up her act.

well if it is up to me i will do all i can to stop this maddness and yes i guess i will have to start over its so sad because bella comes from good lines

Sorry this happened to you, I hope you will give this baby a forever loving home as a pet. It isn't her fault she was raised in bad conditions.

she will be with us forever yes.....

just unsure what to do about all this is the thing!! she sends me a pic of a dog that to us dont look like our bella we got sent to us and she said that picture was just taken of her, so i don't feel she could have changed that much that fast to look so different and we paid alot for what we got and we still have not seen her paper's, all the extra work we have to do with her, that we were told that she was way different then what she is, that is one reason i wanted to buy an older dog. I just feel like we paid for a rescue dog. i could have saved so much money if i would have just got a dog from around here and still gave money to someone i never would have gave money to so they can keep doing this to poor animals. i feel like i did what i tell people all the time not to do!!! its sad to me i hate feeling like i am or are helping someone treat animals badly!!

It is very sad indeed that a person would send a dog in such condition. I guess you have to learn from this. And next time maybe take a road trip to make sure you get what your paying for. But in the mean time this girl is very lucky to be out of that place and into a place that will love her.

What an awful story. Just keep getting your baby the best vet care, love her and work with her and given time and good training, you could bring her confidence up and help her stress level. Read up on behavior modification training and I think it will help her a lot. I hope she is doing better soon and you get satisfaction in some type of settlement with this breeder.

This is a horrible nightmare.. I know enough not to ever buy a dog over the internet and have it shipped. A reputable breeder would not do that plus not have a contract. I think those are pretty big clues. It saddens and angers me to see that this poor baby had ticks and was kenneled all her life. She needs a lot of TLC and I am happy she is with you. and not that dump she was from. This is a hard lessen to learn , but i sure hope this little dog will be a good pet and overcome her fears . That breeder certainly took you for a ride.

WOW!! I am amazed!! I have spoken to Glenda before and I agree, she seemed nice. Well, she was going to sell me a female to breed for $1800 plus shipping. She told me that the dog will come with contract and all that so I'm shocked...now, I'm so glad I turned away...My bf says breeder must be local so now I can say I lucked out. I just hope that things turn out for the better for you! Hope Bella recovers from all that she's been through!! I do agree with fellow YTers that breeding her will not be a good idea. All in all, I hope Glenda gets punished for this and the dogs in her kennel will get rescued.

You wouldn't be the first person that received a dog that looked nothing like the picture you were sent. Not saying that Glenda sent you the wrong dog, but it does happen.

Has she told you why she hasn't sent AKC papers? If/when you do receive papers, perhaps have your girl dna'd to see if she came from the parents listed on the AKC papers. If she doesn't dna true, then Glenda could be in trouble with the AKC!

You can't change what has been done, so don't waste time feeling badly. But, in the future, do learn what responsible, reputable breeding is all about and make a commitment to be a part of the solution and not the problem.

i have done work in rescue and rescue groups for the last 13 years i have talked with a modification specialist and we will continue to do things to benefit her best interest and her well being thanks for all your thoughts and comment hugs to you all

jen when you wrote me this is what i was going to tell you, cuz you said you called her and was maybe going to get a dog from her maybe but i was threatened by glenda not to tell anyone anything to just come to her with the issues, i waited to tell anyone what was going on because she told me she was going to send me her papers, but i have yet to see them!!! so i felt being quit about it would only maybe give her more people to get money from and more to be hurt by her. so i spilled it today when she after all was said and done asked me to sign a contract i feel if i sign the contract she sent it will only help her get more puppies back from me and keep her name associated with me and my line if i would breed this dog she is pretty and if she is out of the parents she says she is she could produce very nice pups but because of the life she had before she came here,she is very stressed and scared i know i can work with her and turn her around but i shouldn't have to do that she should have been treated well her whole life!! i hope i get her papers and can prove who her mom and dad is??!!

purplekisses, I'm sorry this situation has not been a good one. I just can't help but wonder what deplorable conditions this poor pup must have been living in before your saved her. If it were me I probably would just love her and pamper her as a pet and chalk it up to a hard lesson learned.

You could try the legal route but I'm not sure how easily this will be if your in two different states. I know it can be a bitter pill to swallow when you feel you have been wronged and then to let the person walk. It may not be what we want to do it's just that you might have to...I did find a link to read about puppy sale laws, maybe you can find something useful to use.....

thanks i will look into that and it is a pill to swallow but i will not swallow with out at least trying to fight and then if need be i will swallow but with pride that i did all i can for not only bella but all the other families and them dogs/puppies still there.....
