| ![]() this is the contract glenda sent me yesterday to so called have me breed her to get the puppy i had thought i was buying from her!! i want to point out she has made mistakes in this contract such as i paid 1250 not 1200 she also has not even edited the contract miss spelling things and poorly put together. it just tells me she really don't care to much about Bella or us. she just wants control and she also said( not in contract on the phone!!) she wants a puppy back from every litter and wants to be co-owner to Bella and not have any financial responsibility to her or puppies if we in her words (me & her) breed her.and she wants to have control over what male i would breed with also. to me it's like she wants to keep making money off us and get puppies from us and not have any responsibility other then saying yes, no and give me more!! Tsa-La-Gi Yorkshire Terriers she had her address here edited for privacy Sire: Ch. Tsa-La-Gi Remote Control Dam: Tsa-La-Gi If You Please Date of Birth: December 3 2010 Purchaser: Heather (my info was here) The above Yorkshire Terrier is being sold to Heather(last name) on the conditions that all puppies resulting from any breeding will be sold on Limited Registration from the American Kennel Club. Upon acquiring this Yorkshire Terrier, Heather (last name was here) agrees that no resulting puppies will be sold on Full Registration. If any resulting puppies/adults are to be sold with Full Registration the purchaser has agreed to contact the breeder Glenda (her last name here) in writing for approval of the home for any such placement. If any puppies/adults are placed in breeding situations with out this "writing of approval" the purchaser listed in this contract will be subject to a $3000. fine payable to Glenda (last name taken out) for each dog placed with out this written consent. If for any reason the purchaser decides she/he no longer is able to keep the decribed dog he/she has agreed to offer her back to Glenda (last name) in writing, for a sum not to excide the selling price ($1,200).(i paid 1250 for her) If breeder is unable to purchase the dog back she has the right of approval to the new owner. In addition all grandsired get from this dog also applys to this contract. __________________________________________________ _______________ Purchaser/date __________________________________________________ _______________ Seller/date this was sent to me in an e-mail and i wasn't even told anything about it and i still do not have her AKC papers and still don't understand how this fixes how she came to us in the condition she was in. i don't think it is a result of a bad breeding or this came from her parents, i feel that all this is the fault of who was the one suppose to be caring for her!! GLENDA not her little old lady that she is putting the blame on for the sores and redness on her bum bum!!! she said she seen Bella's bottom full of feces and asked her so called old lady groomer she has hired to care for the up keep of the dogs in the kennel why it was on her she told me she said i didn't see it!! lord help me |

| ![]() Ya know lol that's what I said I don't mind not just handing over full registration as I don't believe in just breeding to breed its about battering the breed and doing it with responsibility I in no way just condone breeding I would only do it to better the breed and get show quality dogs and sell puppies and or finished adults to responsible owners. Of course I want to protect my lines and all dogs for that matter but you can't only be in it for your own well being. A "mentor" isn't suppose to use there students you should stride for them to even be better then them self as a parent does for their children. Maybe I'm wrong ????? |

| ![]() Are you going to show this little girl? I do not understand why you were not provided w a pedigree. When I bought my Gidget as a pet from an exhibitor in my area, a pedigree of her was furnished to me to review before I even bought the dog. I don't think you should consider breeding her w/o first reviewing the pedigree and doing research on this breeder's line. Also, why would you want to "get into bed" w someone who does not care for her dogs (according to you, I have no personal knowledge of this), which is what breeding this dog would get you into. I would keep the little girl and spay her to keep as a pet.

In my opinion, this girl should not be bred. She's had quite a hard life already and should just be loved and kept as a pet. You don't have any information on her lines, her pedigree, her papers, etc. Even if you did have papers, you don't seem to trust her breeder as far as you could throw her so why would you trust anything coming from her? Papers aren't everything. If she was this dishonest with me, I would never trust her or her lines. You are better off starting from ground zero and building your breeding program from the ground up in an appropriate manner.

As for the condition of the dog, I am sure they also would have some wonderful suggestions. I would suggest reporting her to the AKC, along w your pics of the condition you received the dog in. You took possession of the dog w/o a signed contract, so I'm not sure legally what is available to you. Again, maybe the exp breeders on this site could help you.

I don't think anyone is questioning the fact that the dog came to you in bad condition and that Glenda is at fault for it. It's obvious that she is in a much better place now, and that's wonderful for the little girl. What someone was trying to point out above is that you have two options right now: #1 Spay her and keep her as just a pet. If you decide that you still want to step into the show ring in the future--start over again and this time with a reputable breeder who is thoroughly checked out, etc. OR #2: Sign Glenda's required contract in order to recieve her AKC papers (which I assume she is holding until you sign said contract), and enter into an agreement with her that keeps you "bound" to an irresponsible breeder for many years to come. This second option seems to be the ONLY way that you will get her AKC papers on full registration--and in order to show/breed her you would HAVE to have the full registration papers. SO the question they were asking is why would you want to enter a contract with someone you disagree with and who is obviously not a reputable breeder? That's what they meant...if those are your only two options...why choose the 2nd knowing what kind of breeder you're dealing with in Glenda? My personal advice would be to just keep her and spay her, and love her as a special little pet. She deserves it after her rough start in life. It's great that she was "rescued" from that awful situation and she has a chance for a new beginning with you. Work with her and take her everywhere you go--she is still young enough that she can be "re-socialized" and come out of her shell. I pulled a little 2 year old Yorkie girl from an outside kennel who had probably never been held or touched this Spring. She was so afraid of people. It took me several days once she was in my home before I could pick her up. She was incredibly thin as well and covered in fleas, infested with worms. Long story short...she was placed into a very special home with a wonderful family who was recommended to me by a friend. She is now a beautiful spayed little princess who LOVES her family, belly rubs, cuddling, her toys (which she had never seen before she came to me), and she has filled out and in a good healthy size because her new mom cooks for her every day. Her pictures make me cry every time I get an update--she has truly made a 180. So, there IS hope for this little girl to turn around in her personality. Just wanted to share that story with you. ![]()

| ![]() She is yours now. Spay her and shower her with love, affection and some fun training and bring her out of herself and give her confidence and pride. She will reward you with years and years of love, companionship, fun and the satisfaction of knowing you did right by your little girl despite all the bad that went before. Lessons learned and all that aside, you still have a wonderful dog for a pet.

| ![]() purplekisses, I am sorry you are in a bind with the paperwork. I hope you get some sound advice on how to proceed from the more experienced members. I am in the woods on such matters but I will say, I've read all your threads and seen the pics and you have yourself an exceptionally beautiful little lady. After you resolve her minor issues, I hope you get many many years of love from her and give her the same. Pleeeaaassseeee stop calling her a "high priced rescue". It implies that rescue dogs are in some way "lesser than" and it makes me cringe every time I see it. The price is fair for a pure-bred Yorkie I think. She should have been clean and tick-free, etc but you will resolve all of that soon enough. Don't let all of that take away from the excitement and enjoyment of your new baby girl. She's a doll for sure!

| ![]() This is really sad. It takes time and research to learn about a breed and the blood lines as well as the breeders. Even in the show world there are those who are not trustworthy. You would pay much more than $1200.00 for a show dog. Many good breeders charge that much for their pet stock. Someone interested in showing needs to get involved in their local kennel club and learn. Talk to the people and get to know about them. Dog showing is very competitive. It takes time to even figure out who is trustworthy and who is not. You need to know which bloodlines are winning and which ones are sound health wise. A good breeder is not going to sell their best stock to someone who is just starting out. They want their stock to go to someone who knows about the breed and the pedigree. They also want someone who knows how to show a dog and will get the dog out and show it over and over again. It means a lot of travel and a lot of money. Just grooming a show dog is a huge amount of information and skill in it's self. Did you look at your dog's pedigree? Do you know about genetics and how a solid line of winners is founded? If you are serious about showing please take the time to learn these things. In the mean time please seek help for you dog. It has been abused and neglected physically and socially. It will take a lot of time, love, and patience to start the healing process for this little one. |

sorry it comes across as if it is Bella's fault or that I would love her any less, I love all animals weather a rescue or a high priced show dog, I have done rescue for many years in no way are rescues any less important then any other dog, they are all just as deserving of love and care as any other!!! so sorry for making you cringe lol I hope you understand what I was trying to say and for give me if it gave anyone an Idea that I would not treat her any different even if she was free and needed all the vet care in the world to save her if I had away I would do it!!
