| ![]() A parti yorkie can still be registered AKC, as long as it's a purebred dog.

| ![]() I did a BBB search and found nothing. Greens Treasured Yorkies, unfortunately, is not in my area. Michigan is a big state and I live at the very top. I have sent an email to the breeder asking for references and why she is also CKC registered (if it's the Canadian one). Her official website shows the AKC registered puppies and their parents. Those puppies are actually sold. The puppy remaining is the female from the CKC registered parents. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | ![]() Do you know her first and last name? (you don't need to post them here) Sometimes googling by that will get you more results than a kennel name, especially if it's a less than optimal breeder. Some have a tendency to change kennel names frequently to keep people off their trail. I have to agree with another poster here. The yorkies look "off" to me. Whether it's the camera angles, my own bad eye sight or the result of bad breeding I can't say for certain. Good luck in your search.

| ![]() When I typed in her first and last name and Yorkshire Terriers, I found no reviews, good or bad. Just that she has puppies both AKC and CKC registered and a dog grooming business that's apparently also a mobile dog grooming business. I did find a person on her Facebook page that mentioned she had one of her puppies. I sent her a private message. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() Is this her website? Home She say on her site, "This is not a puppy mill" and that might make some people feel better, but not me. Here's her breeding dogs. my yorkie family and I'm curious to as why her parti's are all ckc, it could be due to the fact that they are not purebreds.

| ![]() That's her. I really am at a loss of what to think. The Yorkie girl I have now is the love of my life. She means the world to me and I want to give her a little sister. She came from a local breeder that sold only AKC registered puppies and came recommended by the local kennel club. Sydney came with her papers and health guarantee. Within a year, Sydney needed double knee surgery. The breeder finally admitted another puppy in the same litter had knee trouble, but it was not a covered condition. She finally offered to take Sydney back, but by then I had fallen in love with Syd. Besides, what was the breeder going to do with her? I kept Syd. The breeder finally gave me another female Yorkie from different parents, which I gave to my parents and they love her. My best friend bought a cute little toy mix from her neighbor lady (no papers, health guarantee, genetic testing--backyard breeder). Her dog has never had any health issues compared to my AKC registered with over $2000 in vet bills. I guess my point is, you can never tell. I am going to see for myself, though, on Sunday. My parents and I will be driving the three hours to meet the breeder and, most importantly, the puppy and her parents. Last edited by Kirby; 07-29-2011 at 05:27 PM. |

| ![]() I doubt it can be Canadian unless the dog is bred in Can...the Canadian KC is very strict...you can not live in the USA and breed Can dogs unless they are duel registered...ask Lorraine she knows all the rules. |

| ![]() Oh, Nancy, my heart goes out to you. I am so sorry you and your sons had to go through that. I don't want people to think that I advocate backyard breeders. I don't. My post was meant to show that you can do everything right and still have heartache. I'm not looking for a parti Yorkie. It just so happens the little Yorkie female I'm interested in buying has a parti mom. My little girl is sleeping on my lap as I type. She is the most "perfect" dog in my eyes, and I hope to give her a sister soon. |

Here's the one's in Michigan. Call some of them and tell them about your little girl and what's happened with her. If you find one that clicks with you, don't be afraid to put your name on a waiting list. http://www.ytca.org/breeder3a.html#MI

| ![]() Hi, Nancy. It is a good suggestion for anyone to start at the ytca website. I did, but there is not a breeder anywhere near me. All of the ones on the website are over seven hours away. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() Maybe you can call and talk to one or two, sometimes they mentor other breeders and might know of a good breeder closer. I think talking with a really good breeder teaches you so much about what you want in a breeder. Best of luck!
