| ![]() I also wish restaurant managers would be more proactive in denying service to parents who bring in children that are causing disruptions. At least this way it forces people to think twice about bringing along misbehaved kids.

I hope at least to be the type of parent that raises mine to be able to act like civilized little gentleman and women. I would hope to have kids that can sit still in church or a movie or a restuarant and also hope to know the difference between kid friendly places and places that are better for getting a baby sitter and going to. It's kinda the same with dogs. One misbehaved dog can ruin it for everyone else in places that were not a big deal to have dogs in like Home Depot. However for the grocery store or places with food, dogs really shouldn't be allowed. Even dogs in purses that never touch the ground can sometimes carry fleas, ticks, worms, and on and on. There is no way to tell who has a clean and healthy doggie that's been vetted or a sick one that's hiding in a purse causing flea infestation to all those around them. (that made me itch just thinking of it) Anyways. The ultimate point is that dog or child, it's the PARENTS that need to learn how to teach their respective "kids" how to behave in public or leave them at home if they can't act like civilized "kids"

![]() ![]() i was thinking though sometimes how irritated that i get when a parent comes out of our theater or other event into the lobby where i sit trying to hear and help patrons and the phones and they'll walk around in here with a crying, screaming, fit throwing child. When they are obviously old enough to be disciplined somehow it infuriates me that the parent does nothing and allows those screaming fits to happen and doesn't even both to tak them outside for a bit. when it's an infant upset it's annoying but i wonder if that'll be me someday, trying to comfort a crying baby and annoying the whole world around me when i'm out. i hope i take the child outside to the car or at least away from the desk person or clerks, but it's your baby and you have to do your best to comfort them. sometimes they cry and you can't always make them stop. i hope i can figure out how to manage this without people being annoyed with me, but it's a challenge to any parent to quiet and calm down a little baby. no excuse for those that have a screaming three year old wailing and kicking them and yelling. that one i know how to stop! ![]()

My mother use to be an interior decorator and we would go into stores that had signs that said "We reserve the right to kick out any bad childern and their even worse parents..." (that was my favorite sign). My family had a lumber and hardware store and I cannot tell you how many times I had to approach parents and tell them that they need please pay attention to their children with trying to go to the bathroom in our toilet displays or attempt to cut off their siblings hand with out table saw examples... One individual actually put his kid in the laundry tub display while he walked around the store. But once again, we were the owners and it was our decision being our business to be able to "kick someone out" or let dogs in. Besides my brother's dog was always in our back office and we weren't the do as I say, but not as I do type.

![]() ![]() ![]() I tend to overlook screaming babies/toddlers and feel sorry for the parents. There were times when I could not leave and other times I was able to and did. It is hard. Get ready girl, you will have your times too. ![]()
