| So ANGRY! UGH I am just so mad right now!! There are 2 dogs that ever since we moved in April love to come pee all over anything they can smell our golden retriever on in the backyard. One is a pitt mix and the other a schnauzer mix. Well I had ran them out of our backyard after catching them peeing on everything and the pitt proceded to bark at me on my own deck which already made me mad ...well about 30 minutes later I had Chloe out pottying and the pitt came flying out of nowhere at Chloe. Scared us both to death. She ran the opposite way from me which made it worse trying to get away from him and he just chased her as me and my two kids tried to get her. I finally got her and ran him off and she had pooped all over herself she was so scared. I took her in the house beyond furious...my husband was mad but was trying to get me to calm down. I try to be nice...I don't want neighbors mad at me but this is IT! I don't let my golden retriever just run all over the place and I expect the same respect. Ok I think I feel better. lol

YT Addict | I would be angry too! I would be storming over there telling them to keep their own dogs in their own dang yard! Lol. Hey sometimes you just need to let it out on YT!

| I know exactly what you mean Kristy. I had Jada and Bogie outside on leash for a walk back in the early spring. None of our neighbors keep their dogs contained and just let them run wild. A huge black dog came barking in our driveway and I had to grab Jada and Bogie and get them in the house. Jada was barking her fool head off, and trying to attack the big dog. There are disadvantages to living in the country and people not taking care of their animals is one of them. I am so glad Chloe is ok. I would talk to your neighbors and if they don't keep their dogs out of your yard you may have to call animal control (I had to do that in the past) Good luck.

| How scary for you and your babies (skin and fur). I am so relieved that things ended as well as they did.

| Do you have animal control? Maybe let animal control handle the situation (if that is an option). Pitts are known to turn on you. I know it is a mix but still. How very scary for you and Chloe!

| How scary for you and Chloe and your kids. That she pooped herself tells me how scared she was. We get chased all the time in our neighborhood - with folks who let their big dogs run loose. It makes me SO mad. Like you, mine don't run loose - they stay in their fenced yard. It would only take one bite to really injure these little ones. Could you fence your yard? My neighbors got SO MAD at me for fencing my yard (and ruining their view, give me a break). BUT they have a large german shephard and another big dog - supposedly contained with an underground fence, but they never have their collars on. Like I am going to risk Lucy's life on a daily basis so they can have their 'view'. I'm glad everything turned out ok for you. That would be terrible for your kids to see a big dog injuring Chloe.

| Michelle, that is true about living in the country. I have been nice these past 2 months as they mark and pee around my whole house and yard...but when they start intruding on my babies and showing agression...mommy takes over. lol I wanted to go down to their house right that second but my husband talked me into waiting, calming down, and taking care of poor Chloe which was shaking like a leaf..and not to mention covered in poop. I am going to have a talk with them though, and as much as I'd hate it, call animal control if necessary. I'm not going to put up with being scared for my dogs and having them scared in their own yard. And I am not going to worry about my skin children playing in their own yard either!

| I wish one day we could get it fenced. Our previous yard was but we just moved here and to fence 2 acres is way out of our budget right now. We have a small area fenced so our golden retriever can play free in there without worrying and the deck is huge so the yorkies play on there a lot, but of course can't potty there....

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | My dogs are in a dog run and do not have access to the open yard. I cant imagine what I would do if anything like what you experiences happened to my babies. Not sure I would be so kind.. We have several dogs in our neighborhood that run loose and seem to think that our yard is the the local dumping ground. It's degusting.. I run over it with the lawn tractor and my kids step in in all the time. I swear that if I find out who is doing it I won't be so nice... I am going to scoop it up and hand delivering it to the persons home, neighbors or no there is no excuse for it !

| I think that it is totally wrong for a neighbor not to have their dogs under control.. Allowing them to get in other people's property regardless if the yard is fenced or not is very irresponsible. I would be angry too. Those 2 dogs are big, and I would feel threatend if they came too close to my babies. Poor little yorkie girl pottying all over herself in fear. Not a good experience for any of you guys. Their are leash laws , so if it was the last thing I could do was to get animal control invloved then I would . It is for the safety of the dogs as well as it is the law.. Are their leash laws wher you live? They could be fined ... Some people just do not care, or they are just plain clueless .

| Yes there are leash laws here. It seems in the country nobody cares ...although these are the only dogs we have had an issue with since we moved. I definitely miss our fence to at least keep them out

| Wow, I am sorry, you must have been scared I sure hope you can work this out, but people that let their dogs roam like don't respect for others. Be careful That is one of the few things I don't miss about living in the country

| i also live in the country and i do believe that people in or out of the city should have control over their dogs. no matter what kind it is. i would have went over there and told them excautly what i thought because im sure if something bad had happened if they dont care for their own dogs what makes them wanna help if ur poor baby needed something! thank God nothing did happen and u did get them dogs out of ur yard. if they cant control their animals i say call animal control and let them handle it. good luck on getting everything tooken care of and i hope ur baby is feeling better |

| How scary! I would be really upset. We had a large and unneutered rotweiller running around our neighborhood, and we encountered him once on our walk. It scared the sh*t out of me, and I started yelling and kicking at him because he ran up on us. Thank goodness both of mine were on their harness/leash, so I pulled them up pretty quickly. I would talk to the owners, and if that does not seem to help... call Animal Control! You have every right to have your dogs in your yard without being afraid.
