| I know that Biewers are a German breed and not AKC recognized....Party Yorkies can be registered with the AKC.

This question is asked ALL the time..there is a difference. The Tri Yorkie/Party can be marked any which way, as long as it has 2 or more colors it's considered a Tri/Party Yorkie. The Biewer has a standard that calls for 3 markings specifically. They must have 4 white legs, all white belly, white tip on tail, the head must have all 3 colors symetrically. | |

| Thank you YorkieRini....while I knew the standards for Biewers and have noticed that Party Yorkies don't have the same markings, I didn't realize that they simply had to have 2 or more colors. They are all BEAUTIFUL!

OK I feel a little silly, but would Lexi be considered a Party she is black on her back, tan on her muzzle and a little whitish/silver on her chest. There is a bit of the whitish silver on her head. All four paws are tan though. Here is a pic

| No, she is a standard Yorkie. The Parti resembles the Biewer somewhat...with more white to its coat but not a set pattern like the Biewer standard calls for. |

| Nope, I wish I had one...I have a piebald gene carrier female "Trina" but no true particolor. I am actually look for a stud that is true parti for my last breeding of Trina before I retire her. That pic is from the only two people I know that breed parti's that are very pricey indeed $5000 for a female and $3500 for a male in CA.

| Ricki , I want to remind you and everyone that the yorkies came from mixes of terriers, they have been in exsistance for so long now that sometimes I think we forget this. So, yes a Biewer is a mix as everyone of your yorkies are and my traditionals and every yorkie here on earth... I can trace all my Biewers back to the orginal line that come from the Parent's that started this line which are Yorkshire Terriers. I have been showing my Biewers with the IABCA and these shows are judged by AKC and Canadian judges. I have recieved nothing but wonderful responses from the AKC judges, and asking me to promote them to AKC, they would love for them to be a excepted breed. Personally, I think a respectable American Club needs to be established for them first, like we have with the Yorkies example YTCA. Then we can move forward to promote the breed. My feelings are that AKC will except them soon as more and more of these dogs are coming to America and litters are finally being born here. I am spending a fortune on both of my breeds of yorkies as well. Always looking for the best and starting out with the best... I will wait to do the correct breeding. I just share the love and excitement of color in this breed, but would never compromise either standards, other wise why breed? We have other breeds that have more than one standard let say the Chihuahua, Beagle, just to name a few, so why not the yorkie???? Ricki, you are entitled to have your own opinion.(Otherwise we all would be driving FORDS ) Please just don't rule us out. We are here to stay. As far as expensive Yes, they are a little pricey, but so can the tradionals if you are looking for a certain blood line and with breeding rights. I am seeing more and more yorkie breeders importing from Hungry, because most breeders will not give out breeding rights... I understand why most won't, so we don't have to open that issue up unless someone wants to start a new thread on that.I see no reason that this thread can't not stay friendly. We ALL are sharing our opinions likes, dislikes, and knowledge. And for everyone posting here let's just do that. Ricki has only expressed a feeling, and should be entitled that.... Sorry so long, very passionate on this subject.... Happy Thanksgiving~~almost time to over eat and feel miserable!!!! lol
